Too Blessed To Be Stressed

Too Blessed To Be Stressed by Debora M. Coty – Book Review

I am too blessed to be stressed, and I know it – but every now and then, I slip back into my worrying ways. It happened to me just last night. Instead of focusing on all of the good things in my life – instead of trusting that my sovereign God is protecting me and has everything in my life under control – I chose to focus on a set of circumstances and imagine every worst case possibility coming into fruition.

The result? Several hours of fretting, anxiety, restlessness, and a night filled with very little sleep before I turned to the Lord in prayer, turning the situation over to Him, and began focusing on my blessings and the fact that He really does have everything under control.

Now, in the light of day, I’m able to be gentle with myself, because even though it’s easy to slip back into old habits every now and then, I catch myself and bounce back much faster to a more peaceful place of praise and gratitude these days – in no small part due to books like Deborah M. Coty’s Too Blessed To Be Stressed: Inspiration For Every Day!

Whether you tend to worry and stress over the little things in life or you have some major stressors looking you in the eye and staring you down, Too Blessed To Be Stressed – a 365 day devotional for women – needs to be sitting on your nightstand, desk, or wherever do your daily readings!

This lovely, practical devotional is perfect for readers who are looking for light, topical devotions that contain a Scripture – stories on topics that touch upon everyday life topics such as relationships, love, boundaries, hope, brokenness and praise – and a short, inspiring prayer.

The color scheme on the beautiful color carries through the book (the font is in purple and green) – creating a beautiful design. On the other hand, vision-impaired readers may find the pretty colors a little difficult to read.

Too Blessed To Be Stressed is a lovely book that’s suitable for both personal devotions and for gift-giving.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Thank you for this as something last night knocked the Sails out from under my wings and I crumpled and started doubting my family and God. So after a good nights sleep I feel better this morning and your post helped. As God doesn’t close one door without opening a another door and what will happen will happen. We just need to trust in God.
