Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!
Weruva BFF OMG Cat Food Review
Last year, Magellan made a new BFF (that’s best friend forever, for those of you who aren’t in touch with contemporary slang). In his case though, his new BFF wasn’t the dog next door or the cat across the street or even one of the cute little stuffed animals scattered throughout our home. Instead, my finicky cat fell in love with a line of cat food from Weruva called Best Feline Friend (BFF).
A good meal makes a cat’s heart sing!
This year, to spread awareness about Happy Healthy Cat Month in September and to help resolve The Big 3 Cat Concerns that have plagued cat parents for eternity, Weruva sent Magellan and Tsunami (yes Magellan, you DO have to share!) a sample of their new line of gluten, grain, and carrageenan-free cat food called B.F.F. OMG (Best Feline Friend, Oh My Gravy)!
Perhaps my cats love Weruva BFF food because it’s considered “people food for pets” – or perhaps they enjoy it because both their cans and BPS-free pouches feature land proteins like boneless and skinless white chicken breast, salmon, beef, duck, lamb, and more. All I know is that I normally split cans and pouches between Magellan and Tsunami, but with BFF, they each insist on devouring an entire pouch or can by themselves!
If you and your cat are dealing with any of these Big 3 Cat Concerns, be sure to give Weruva’s BFF OMG a try!
- Got a picky cat? Picky eating often has to do with the texture of the cat food, since cats are carnivores whose tongues and teeth are perfectly evolved for meat-eating. For instance, cats might dislike food that doesn’t actually contain real shreds of meat: would you eat a steak that has the texture of tapioca? Weruva solves this problem by incorporating shreds of real meat right off the bone into their food. It really makes a difference at mealtime!
- Is your cat living life on the large side? Perhaps he’s been eating too much kibble! Kibble is filled with unnecessary carbs, which are almost impossible for cats to process, since they don’t produce amylase, an enzyme which helps humans digest their food. With Weruva’s B.F.F. OMG, you don’t have to worry about kibble because it contains 100% real meats in their true form.
- Urinary tract issues, which stem from dehydration, are always a potential issue for pet cats, even if you provide them with plenty of water. In the wild, cats stay hydrated through the food they eat instead of what they drink. Cats are used to “eating” their water – but most wet foods don’t have nearly enough hydration to keep them satisfied. One of the things that Magellan, Tsunami and I like about Weruva’s B.F.F. OMG! line is that it contains over 85% hydration, which satisfies my cats’ hydration needs.
So far, every single BFF OMG flavor that I’ve fed Magellan and Tsunami has been a hit and I’ll certainly be ordering more! To find a flavor your cat will adore, be sure to visit Chewy.com.
Disclosure: Magellan and Tsunami received a free sample of this product from Weruva to review. The opinions we’ve shared reflect our personal experience with this product.

You would think that would be the case (I would think so too Teresa) but believe it or not, we still buy –
so far, our boys eat only 1 brand of Kibble and they are particular with the brands they try –
so the ones they like, they devour, and the ones they decide not to eat, we end up donating to other very lucky kitties!
Thank you my friend!!

Thanks Kelly – we do our best to keep them happy and healthy! We love them so very much!
I have one that won’t eat anything but kibble, maybe I will try this for her.

This would be a really great supplement to the kibble if your finicky cat would eat it, Ellen.
Magellan really likes kibble too so I am always trying to get him to eat can flavors to hydrate and he LOVES BFF!
Miss Joy, Magellan & Tsunami, that looks like nom nom goodness! I’ll have eaten BFF in the past, but I’ll have to try the new formulas you mention. I’m salivating! Do you know if turkey is one of the ingredients, as I have an allergy to turkey. Purrs & have a great Wednesday!

Hi Valentine,
You would have to check the individual flavors to be sure, but I don’t remember seeing turkey as one of the ingredients.
So sorry to hear that you are allergic to that ingredient!
Thanks for the linky party. So many great posts to read!
Misha is a dog, but I am sure she would have loved this cat food too. Magellan and Tsunami were very lucky to get such good food to try! Thanks for sharing your review.
Now this sounds yummy! My kitties love Weruva’s foods. Their favorite is the Chicken Frick-a-Zee. 🙂 We might have to pick up a few cans from this line too.

My cats can’t get enough of their BFF OMG goodies – I’ll definitely be picking up more of these!
A good food dish is always a great thing.
Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful rest of the week.
We met the Weruva people at Blogpaws in 2016 they are the most genuine and committed people.
Definitely a wonderful sounding food, and well thought out to. I hope someday we can get it here in the Uk at a price that is less than extortionate due to import costs.
Purrrs

Yay for great tasty nommies,xx Speedy
My kitties love Weruva! With 9 cats though, they do have to share. At least they don’t seem to mind.
