Remembering Sergeant Ron Helus

Ron Helus

Our Friend Of The Week feature will return soon. Today, however, we will be joining our community and our church family to celebrate the life of Sergeant Ron Helus – a national hero who gave his life to save as many young lives as possible during the Borderline shootings which recently rocked our community.

We invite you to pray for his family and for all of the families who lost loved ones at Borderline as well as those who have lost homes during the fire. Our community is resilient but what touches one of us touches us all.

This party is open for your viewing and linking pleasure all week. Be sure to say hello and introduce us to yourselves and your blog in the comments!

We were praying when we heard the horribly sad news. We have also been praying for everyone affected by the fires including the firefighters. So awful and scary.
Wishing you safety and blessings. Thanks for hosting!

Thank you Tina – the memorial service for Sgt Ron Helus (which was live-streamed nationally from our church) was incredibly moving and the first of several services we will be hosting.

I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. Police officers put themselves in harms way all the time, even if something sounds as routine as a traffic violation. They never know what is going to happen. I am praying for his family.

So sad, a very nice tribute to Sergeant Ron Helus! We will forever appreciate the work and the position our enforcement officers put themselves daily in harm’s way to protect citizens of the US. God be with his family and loved ones.
