Dead Sea Rising by Jerry B. Jenkins – Book Review

Dead Sea Rising

If you are a fan of Jerry B. Jenkins, the co-author of the blockbuster best-selling Left Behind series, I have exciting news for you. Jenkins recently released the first book in the Dead Sea Chronicles – a new series that combines his award-winning blend of biblically-themed thrillers set in modern times that explore the role of biblical prophecy in our lives!

Book 1 in the series, Dead Sea Rising, introduces us to Nicole Berman – an archaeologist on her first dig in Jordan. During the excavation, she believes that she has found concrete evidence of the existence of the biblical patriarch Abraham and his sons Isaac and Ishmael – a discovery that could have profound implications for the relationship between the Arab and Israeli world. Yet, she is nearly killed in the process…

This does not dissuade her from continuing her research, however, yet unbeknownst to her, there are those close to Nicole who don’t want her to discover the truth – those who will stop at nothing to prevent the truth from coming out.

Jenkins does a masterful job of drawing us into the story, of creating suspense and interesting characters, of taking us from 21st century Manhattan to Ancient Mesopotamia to the Vietnam conflict and back. He even manages to weave a bit of romance into the story…

If you are looking for a wonderful book to curl up with over the holidays, to give as a gift, or to start out your New Year’s fiction reading list with – Dead Sea Rising is it!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars!

I have noticed way too many linkups are not at all book related – are they aware they have not posted to the correct linkup? can they be removed to keep it as a “BOOK NOOK” ?
Looking like great food / snacks for reading but not exactly what you intended and we
        expected 😉 !!

Thanks for checking it out …

        Hi Faith,

Yes, it looks like a number of our Inspire Me Monday people accidentally linked at the Book Nook somehow…
I agree that this should be focused on book/literacy related links –
If you’re patient, I’ll try to take care of this asap! 🙂
