I wanted to create a lot of depth and texture in this card, so for its base, I used a velvety deep green suede paper (manufacturer unknown), then added handmade purple paper from Paper Passport to the right side of the card. On the left I added a beautiful, golden mesh ribbon that allows the background to peek through.
Next, I cut, tore, and distressed (with CTMH Ponderosa Pine Ink) a gold patterned Creative Memories photo mat down to size and layered it with a beautiful image which I believe was part of a 2004 My Mind’s Eye vintage kit. I added a narrow piece of shimmery gold ribbon to the base of the card to give it a nice accent.
For the finishing touch, I layered green and pink flowers from Maya Road’s Velvet Blossom’s – Water Tin and added mini gold brads to the center. I wish I could share this card with you in person – it is truly a tactile delight!
