There are times in life when we face situations that simply knock the wind out of our sails. What does it take to get past the rough currents that sometimes leave us capsized?
If you’re looking for a book filled with easy-to-follow, time-tested advice to help you through the tough times, Getting Back Up When Life Knocks You Down is a good place to start. Jeremy Kingsley fills this compact book with practical steps that will help propel you past any crisis you may face.
Getting Back Up When Life Knocks You Down is an easy-to-read self-help book that is written from a Christian perspective. Kingsley is a natural motivator who uses his life experience to encourage his readers to persevere through crisis; to never lose hope; to employ the transformative power of forgiveness; and to let go of guilt.
This book’s strength lies in its easy-to-read style and the extremely practical advice it dispenses. Everything in this book is doable. The book’s weakness lies in the lack of fresh ideas and deeper content that more seasoned readers will be seeking.
I enjoyed this book and think that it would be of great benefit to the right reader.

Self-help books and I have a love/hate relationship – they love themselves and I tend to hate them, as it’s always the same things we all know already, simply regurgitated in a different format. The thing that makes this one stand out, however, is that it is based on Christian principles. I will keep this in mind as a book of encouragement for friends who are going through hard times. Thanks for the review!
