I am partial to Golden Retrievers and big ole mutts! Perhaps my favorite ‘movie star’ dog was Bullet from the Roy Rogers/Dale Evans show back in the 50s! Thanks for hosting Friendship Friday!

Sorry, I don’t like dogs. I’ve been allergic to them since I was 4, so I’ve never lived with one and never played with one. I suppose if I could have a dog it would be a beagle puppy, and would stay a puppy all it’s life! (A house trained puppy from birth!!)

    Thanks for hosting again!

Ahh, I’m sorry to hear that you’re allergic to dogs. I love animals and believe it or not, am also allergic to them – but have found that I am more sensitive to some than others. Perhaps one day you’ll meet one that you can be around and experience the joy of a dog relationship firsthand!

      Have a great week!

Thanks for hosting! My pets have always been dogs. I am glad to link up again this week and share my answers in a blog post. Take care and have a great Friday and weekend.

  6. Dogs! Hmmm…. Well, when I was a little girl the dogs used to be free to roam around the neighborhood. Which was mostly fine. Except for the dog named Nipper. I bet you immediately can figure out why I’m really not too fond of dogs. Actually, I’m fine with all my friends dogs, I might even play with them, and we actually almost got a Collie, once. But…we have cats…right now. They are easy. My husband says our next cat will be a Greyhound. It’s the Greyhound’s fault. He just leaned right again his leg the whole time he chatted with the Greyhound rescue people. We’ll see…our cats have a few years to go yet. 😀

Nipper – that name says it all!

I became acquainted with Greyhounds through a Greyhound Rescue group several years ago and I can see why your husband fell in love with them – I too was blown away by their sweet personalities!

Although I am a cat person at heart, I love dogs too. Be sure to check out Pukka’s Promise. It is a fabulous book!

    I would love a non-shedding Puggle!

I love dogs 🙂 Thank you for the party !

  11. Hazel Moon says:

My husband’s favorite dog is a Blue Tick Hound, which we have one now. My favorite is a Black Lab and we have two of those. I think Robert is partial to the younger Lab. We enjoy our dogs, and they are like family. Thank you for hosting this lovely community and blessing upon you and your family!

  12. I grew up with dogs — first with cocker spaniels, then with 3 generations of golden retrievers! Needless to say, they were part of the family! Thanks for hosting & God bless!

  13. Hilary says:

Favorite breed … and please no one flame me, but I do love Pit Bulls. They are not the monsters the media hypes them to be.

As for book/movie … since most of them are tear-jerkers, I avoid them. But I really enjoyed “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.”

I really believe that with Pit Bulls – as with any breed – it all has to do with how the dogs are bred and trained.
There are definitely pit bulls one would not want to be around – but yes, I have also met pit bulls that are in the “sweet” category to which you are referring!

I will have to check out Homeward Bound.

One of my favorite dog books was Marley (although the movie was not that great).

Hi! Here via the #FF follow from parajunkee. My favorite breed of dog … such a hard choice! I’d have to go with Westies. My westie is such a sweet sweet dog and every westie I’ve met has had the same cheery disposition!

  16. I am so happy to link up for another fabulous Friendship Friday!

  17. Sally says:

Dogs…I love them. I find they tend to give you unconditional love and are easy to forgive your shotcomings and with a little tender loving care and a doggy treat they are life long companion. I too am allergic to them, so after having to have our dog put down due to an incurable illness we have not gotten another. He was my best buddy and although it has been years I still miss him.

I have to say, my favorite is a Shepherd.

I’ve heard so many wonderful stories over the years about Shepherds.
Are you familiar with a rare breed called the Shiloh Shepherd?
      Very cool dogs!

  18. Lisa says:

Thanks so much for hosting! Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

  19. My favorite breed of dog is a toss-up between a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier or a Labradoodle (my awesome dog was either one of those – since I rescued him from the Humane Society I never found out for sure, though a breeder friend identified him as a Soft Coated Wheaten). 🙂 He was the BEST dog EVER – I miss him, but sure did love the 13 years he was my best friend! 🙂 After we move we plan to get another – even though we currently have 2 Merle Shelties to hang out with our 5 cats! 🙂

Hi Ramona! I’m more of a cat person so I really don’t have a fav breed of dog or anything. I think any dog that’s calm and gentle is sweet 🙂

Thanks for hosting and have a happy weekend!

I’m a cat person too but there are dog breeds I definitely love!
I often play the “what if” game – what if I could get a dog – what would I want?

Before reading Pukka’s Promise, I had pretty much sold myself on Bernese Mountain Dogs – they have the SWEETEST dispositions and I know they would be a great breed to get along with the cats!

But, after reading about their heart-breakingly short life spans and health problems, I think I’d have to reconsider that if I were truly getting a dog because I get so attached, I don’t want to be burying a beloved family member in 6 to 8 years.

  22. nan says:

thank for hosting. dog is a good friends but i allergy with hairy pet so sad can’t have one.
    have a great weekend.

    Hi!
Although I LOVE seeing all of your cat pictures, I’m a dog person and have one ever since I was young. We got our sweet shitzu/maltese a couple of years ago and she’s has the perfect disposition and SIZE for my two children. She has brought so much joy to our lives! Thanks again for this wonderful blog hop and have a great weekend! Lori

  25. Laura says:

My favorite is a maltese. We have one and he was my BABY until I had my boys. Now he plays second fiddle 🙂

  26. I’m deathly allergic to dogs but love them so much I give myself shots just so I can have one. I’m so weird 🙂

Enjoying your wonderful hop this week! Thank you so much for hosting! 🙂

Dachshunds are my favorite dogs…they have such funny personalities. (I am also a doxie mom).

One dog-related movie that I remember enjoying (which also has a cat) is Milo and Otis. I always thought that was such a cute movie!

  28. I really enjoy Pugs! We have a pug cross right now & he’s such a blessing. So kind with the kids, and guests….so thankful for him 🙂

  29. Yona says:

I’m a huge dog lover and collect lots of dog-related goodies.

While I love all dogs (with the exception of one breed that kinda creeps me out), my favorite breed is the Black Lab.

  30. First, thanks for hosting…..and YES, I love my DOGS!!!! I have 3….hence, Three Dawg Lady Designs…lol!
