2 Great Events For Reviewers & Writers
Are you a book reviewer who would like to catch up on a few reviews before the month draws to a close? Are you a writer who would like to start – or finish – a project or two as we move into September? If so, here are two great events that I’d like to invite you to join!
The Monster Review-A-Thon
The Monster Review-A-Thon runs from August 26 – September 1, 2013 and the goal is simple:
Review as many books as you can!
You can sign up for this event with our hosts, The Book Monsters!
You’re also invited to participate in the two Twitter Chats scheduled during the event:
- Tuesday, August 27th at 6 pm CST at #MonsterRAT
- Sunday, September 1st at 3 pm CST at #MonsterRAT
Be sure to follow me on Twitter at @CreateWithJoy1 for the chats!
Sit Down And Write 4 Write-A-Thon
The Sit Down And Write 4 Write-A-Thon is designed to help you complete any writing you need to get done! Whether you’re working on reviews, short stories, a novella, or even a novel – if you have writing to complete, this event is the place to be!
To keep you on track, there will be a few check-ins posted during the event for you to post your review links and progress reports, as well as a hashtag – #sitdownwrite – to chat on!
The official dates and times for Sit Down And Write 4 are Monday, August 26 from 12:01 am through Sunday, 11:59 pm in your time zone.
Visit Stories Inside to sign up for this event!
Goals And Accomplishments
Which of these events are you participating in? Be sure to let me know so I can cheer you on!
As always, your encouragement is appreciated as well! I plan on writing several reviews during the next few weeks. I’ll be tracking my accomplishments for both events on this post!

Yay! Thanks for joining our event. I may have to check out that two-week long one, as I always seem to get behind at the beginning of the school year. I hope you make all your goals this week!
Thanks Kristen – these are fabulous events to do simultaneously and back-to-back! Thanks for hosting the review-a-thon – I’m a huge fan of your events! 🙂
This looks inspiring! I think I may join. I love a good deadline!
Awesome Mary – hope to see you at one or both of the events!
You always rock these events! I’ve joined in for both as well. As soon as I finish reading Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie for my book club meeting, I can start focusing on writing! Have a great week!
What a great title! Thanks for stopping by Tanya – we have to catch up one of these days!
