Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!
Quote Of The Day
A cat is not merely diverted by everything that moves,
But is convinced that all nature is occupied exclusively
With catering to (his) diversion.
François Auguste Paradis De Moncrif,
As quoted in Agnes Repplier’s The Fireside Sphinx
Pounce
There are few things more captivating than watching a cat hunt.
Have you ever noticed how keenly a cat concentrates on his prey?
He crouches silently, patiently,
Waiting for the perfect moment to pounce.
Here’s to Legend, the Mighty Hunter.
Happy Wordless Wednesday!

I love to watch catch stalk their prey. It is so cunning and calculated. Absolutely amazing.
I am intrigued to what has got his attention LOL
Thanks for hosting have a purrrfect week ahead 😉
You too Steve! 🙂
Great shot! What focus…
As always, thanks for hosting and have a great week.
You too Meryl! As always, I appreciate your support! 🙂
I love it. You’re right. There’s nothing like watching a cat on the hunt.
Very cute shot. So intent.
Cats are so unique, they have their own personality with a Little tint of selfishness, lol..
Thank you for hosting this lovely party. Big hugs,
FABBY
Such a beautiful cat!
My favorite part is when a cat shakes it bum before pouncing 🙂
Happy WW!
I always loved how my cat, when he was still alive, was such a great hunter. I love seeing your cats each week. Reminds me of my loving Charlie.
Thanks Danielle! Charlie sounds so sweet!
Hello, I have four cats and they are my best distraction. 🙂 Love your blog. Check out my blog anytime.
Thanks so much Ruth!
I love your blog and added you to my blogroll. 🙂
Thank you so much Ruth – your art is breath-taking!
What an intensity! She is precious.
We had a trip to the Royal Perth show this week and thoroughly enjoyed the cats on show. My girls have their eye on a ragdoll cat and are rather determined we should finally get a pet (well apart from the fish in our pond).
Ragdolls are awesome – we came dangerously close to bringing one home with us several years ago!
Love the kitty’s philosophy….. reminds me of my hubby sometimes…..haha!
My ‘Rabbits!’ had to be today, because Wednesday isn’t the 1st – it was up before you opened for business!
My cat Mr. Bingley was an excellent hunter. He would always bring back birds or lizards to feed Spaz and her kittens. I once watched a special about how cats are crazy vicious hunters. There were little cameras attached to collars around outdoor cats’ necks and it was really cool to see how they hunted!
Oh I would have loved to have seen that!
I’ve always been amazed how patient cats can be when stalking!
Hmmm…what is Legend about to pounce upon? 🙂
Thanks for hosting! Have a wonderful rest of the week.
I just can’t get over how much Legend looks like my kitty! As always, thanks for hosting and have a great week! =)
I love the look in a cat’s eyes when it’s getting ready to pounce!
Legend certainly had his sights on something and I have no doubt he got it! Great shot! Thanks for hosting.
Nothing beats a darling fur baby shot! Dropping by from the Bloggy Moms hop. 🙂
So adorable, but could you tell us what is he looking at?
Thanks for hosting again.
Happy early WW
To be honest, I don’t remember!
He is always hunting something! 🙂
So cute. Love the way cat’s look when they get playful or start stalking. They are just so serious about it!
Cats are born “Pouncers”.
what was he looking out for?? 😛
Ai @ Sakura Haruka
I wish I remembered! 🙂
I’m so excited, we’re going to be getting one of our cats from a friend who has been fostering them until we were able to get our own place! So excited to have her at Thanksgiving!
Mimi, I’m so excited to hear you are getting a new cat!
I can’t wait to see the photos!
Be sure to leave a comment or tweet me when they arrive so I can come visit! 🙂
Such focus! Thanks for the great post & for hosting & God bless!
He does look well occupied.
He’s ready.

Love that intent look on his face!
Beautiful photo and words! Love!!!
Love the intent, focused look! The best cat hunter I ever had was my female siamese Baby. She hunted and killed birds, lizards, snakes…and yes, even a few squirrels in her lifetime. She was amazing to watch.
Wow – Baby really did hunt with the best of them!
I would have mourned the squirrels!
As a kitty, I can say that there are few things more fun than the thrill of the hunt!
A “Mighty Hunter” indeed. Great photo of Legend. 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Kitty looks ready! Get it kitty!
Oh, we love watching when our kitty has something on her radar!! Following from the blog hop!!
Now, what kept him occupied there!
We agree! Our Allie scents the hunt in our photo today as well! Way to go Legend!
Lovely picture! 🙂 I love how focused your kitty looks!
My cat is attacking my feet as I type this comment…he is quite the pouncer 🙂
Thanks for the smile! 🙂
Cats are super funny. I use to love to watch ours as she got ready to pounce on something real or imaginary. Thanks for hosting the WW hop!
Tsunami nearly pounced onto the television recently when a late-night infomercial came on advertising a cat toy he wanted!
Love the quote! I totally agree. Cats see the world as theirs to control and enjoy!
Have a great day!
Glad to see the comment box is back! My Momma had a tabby named Hobie who would hide around corners and pounce at legs as they went by – just as if they were prey.
That’s quite the look of concentration!
Thanks for hosting Create with Joy!! We so enjoy your site!!
Your TX furiends,
Thank you so much! Yours rocks too! 🙂
That cat looks ready to… pounce.
