Happy Anniversary WOYWW – Yay For You Card
In the blogging world, longevity is a blessing. That’s why I’m so delighted to join my friends at What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday in wishing Julia at Stamping Ground a Happy 5th Anniversary for brainstorming a meme that has taken the crafting world by storm for the past 260 weeks (or 5 years, for the numbers challenged among us!)
What’s On Your Workdesk – better known as WOYWW – is a place where creative folk gather each week to share what’s on their work spaces and/or what they’ve been creating each week. It’s a place to see beautifully organized desks and creatively messy craft rooms. It’s a place to gather tips and ideas for your next craft project. It’s a place to expand your horizons as bloggers around the globe share their favorite hobbies and open up a new world of creative possibilities for you. And it’s a place to make new friends, to find new products, and to have new doors and opportunities open to you!
When Julia started WOYWW, she didn’t have any idea what type of impact this party would have on the world around her! She speaks of simply being curious about what was on other people’s desks! And yet – that curious spark resonated within so many of us and connected us all. The circle continues. The connection grows. Here’s to another year of creativity – another year of creative spaces, stacked neatly and piled high – another week of looking forward to connecting to friends, old and new!
In honor of WOYWW, many of today’s participants will be sharing – and swapping – ATCs to commemorate the occasion. Due to family obligations, I am unable to participate in this year’s swap. However, I am sending my congratulations by way of today’s Yay For You card featuring stitched grosgrain ribbon from Wholeport.

What a great card, and such an adaptable idea for all sorts of occasions.
There are just so many fun things out there in the blog world, I’d not seen WOYWW before but will definitely check it out now.
Finally I see from the comments above this was your first Mothers day without your Mum, I know I don’t know you and hope it’s not inappropriate to comment but I’ve just had my 2nd without my lovely mum so do understand what a difficult time it is, I hope you got through ok, I’m afraid I can’t really promise it gets easier. I have found that realising I’m not alone feeling like this has helped so hopefully that will help you too.
