What’s Inspiring You This Week?
Here’s What’s Inspiring Me!
Stories Of Faith, Life & Creativity…
Ramona – Best Friends Card & The Velveteen Rabbit
Have you ever been inspired to create a project
Based on something you’ve read or something you own?
This week I took up the challenge to create a card
Based on a favorite children’s book!
I invite you to stop by and read the
Story behind this special creation!
Diane – Shine Your Light In The Darkness
Every time we turn on the news or even go online,
We are surrounded by darkness.
If we are not careful, it’s easy to be discouraged.
That’s why Diane’s message is so relevant:
Shine your light in the darkness, and
Count the daily moments of Joy in your lives!
Looking for a creative way to recycle your stack of magazines?
Gather your family and create a bevy of beautiful butterflies!
Naomi – Break The Chains Of Hopelessness
Are there times in your life when you feel overcome by despair?
Learn how to fight your feelings of overwhelm and hopelessness with
The wonderful tools and tips Naomi provides in this article!
If you think that pumpkins are orange and grow in a field,
May I invite you to visit Penny’s Vintage Home?
She has the prettiest pumpkin patch you ever did see!
Who knew that pumpkins could be pink and
Covered in lace and pearls?
Sherri – How To Make Hairy Friends
Are you ready to add a touch of whimsy to your home?
Round up your empty margarine tubs and
Unleash your creativity in Sherri’s Margarine Tub Craft Challenge!
Projects like these re-purposed tubs will be a hit with the kids!
One of the hardest things we are called to do in life is to
Forgive those who hurt us.
I’m not talking about the little things that we can
Easily choose to overlook if we desire.
I’m talking about the big, soul-scarring wounds –
The type of hurts that keep us awake at night –
The kind of stuff that gnaws away at our souls.
If you’re struggling with unforgiveness in any area of your life,
I encourage you to read the story of Corrie ten Boom that
Patsy shared with us in her post Faith or Fear –
And to reflect on this saying she shared from Lewis Smedes:
To forgive is to set a prisoner free and
Discover that the prisoner was yourself.
Music To Inspire You – Songs That Make You Happy
Welcome to Music Moves Me!
This week, Haupi, the Spotlight Dancer,
Chose Songs That Make You Happy as our theme.
What a great choice to kick off the week!
I ended up picking not one, not two,
But three songs that always bring a smile to my face!
Some of these songs are funny –
Some of these songs are tongue-in-cheek –
Some of these songs are uplifting –
All of these songs make you want to get up and dance!
Enjoy – and feel free to share the songs that bring a smile to your face
In your posts and comments this week!
Song 1 – The Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss)
Betty Everett Originally Recorded This Song In 1964
Her Version Hit #1 On The Cashbox Magazine R & B Charts

Inclusion Of The Terms Ugly Girl/Ugly Woman In The Lyrics

Thanks Meryl – you too! 🙂
So many wonderfully inspiring things here, Ramona! Yes, it’s been a rather scary two weeks around the world, and so many of us are feeling it. Thanks for your input on forgiveness, something I am finding hard to do with a certain situation. I love your card! It made me smile! Thanks for the party and have a lovely week!

Hi Poppy,
I’m sorry to hear that you are dealing with a situation where forgiveness is a struggle.
That hits so close to home.
When I am struggling with situations where forgiveness seems beyond my natural abilities, I find that the first step is simply a willingness to tell God that I am willing to forgive with His help, but He really has to be the one to empower the situation, because I can’t do it on my own.
In these situations, over time, I find that once I am willing to put things in God’s hand, forgiveness does come, in its own time – and as that quote indicates, it is SO freeing!
Have a blessed week!
Thanks again for hosting a great party! Have a wonderful week!

Thanks for hosting. I am happy to announce our first ever Travel the World in Books Readathon that I am co-hosting with Lost in Books and Savvy Working Gal. The goal is to encourage readers to read books set in another country or by an author from another country than the one you live in. I hope you will consider participating or even sign up to be a mini challenge host or do a book giveaway of something that qualifies. Hope you are well. I took a break from blogging but the kids are heading back to school so I can squeeze in a little more blogging time!

Wow…most of those songs I’ve never heard before.
They were out almost before my time.
The size of those cell phones, in the bottom video, is comical.
I sure enjoyed visiting you!
