A Brand New Day Card

Happy WOYWW to you, dear friends – I wish you a Happy Fall! I know you’re eager to see what’s on my desk this week, so let’s get started…

What Did I Create This Week?

Rough patches… we all face them. When we’re in the midst of them, it takes wisdom to determine the best way through.

Sometimes, it’s best to hold our ground and face them head on. Other times, our best choice is to gather our resources and to move on.

Today’s card is for a dear friend who has withstood adversity with strength and resilience and is now moving forward with her life.

To support my friend’s determination to pursue a fresh start, I’ve created A Brand New Day card!

Colors speak volumes. The design begins with the happy color combination of bright pinks and oranges to spread good cheer – as well as some autumn hues to pay tribute to this new season in her life!

For fun, I’ve infused it with lots of happy embellishments like dancing polka dots sprinkled across patterned paper and pretty sheer ribbon…

Delightful dew drops mirror the colors in the polka dots…

The polka-infused heart is filled with love…

The glitter bird and a bursting sun spread good cheer…

The little popping butterflies symbolize new life and hope…

And the thread ties it all together!

Magellan Turns One!

It seems like yesterday our new kitten arrived on the scene – Magellan, the best Christmas gift ever!

How can it be that this week, our baby is turning a year old?

For some cats, that would mean adulthood. Since Maine Coons are slow to mature (they take up to 4 years to reach full maturity) – Magellan is still a playful kitten with the attitude of a boundary-pushing teenager in a supersized body! He is still on big lovable cat, though – all he wants is attention and love!
