This week our challenge is to share
“Songs That Easily Gets Stuck In Your Head”!
Did you know that there’s actually a term for that phenomena?
They’re called earworms, and at least 98% of the population have
Experienced an earworm at least once in their lives!
Earworms frequently have catchy tunes and repetitive phrases.
You don’t always like the songs
(Although those are the worst kind to get stuck in you mind!)
Advertising jingles and TV theme songs frequently stick!
Today’s earworm received the dubious honor of being named
One of the worst songs of all time –
But it’s also a record-breaking ditty that put the singer on the map!
This song managed to worm it’s way
Into the heart of millions of record collectors across the globe
And got listeners moving and grooving when it was released!

The songs that normally get stuck in my head are usually songs I don’t like, or jingles from commercials. Happens all the time.
