Quote Of The Week
Curiosity killed the cat…
But satisfaction bought it back.

Curious Cat
If you’ve ever spent any time with a cat,
You probably have a sense of what
Curious creatures cats can be,
But did you now that cats are so curious,
There’s now a special day dedicated to this phenomenon?
January 22 is National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day and
Last week, Magellan – along with several other high profile cats –
Had the opportunity to have some of their most burning questions
Answered by their pet parents!
You can read their questions – some humorous, some heartfelt –
Along with their parent’s responses –
At our special National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day Blog Hop !
You’ll also find the answer to Magellan’s question –
Why Am I An Indoors-Only Cat? –
Which was published in Guideposts!
What questions do your pets want you to answer for them?
Share the questions – and your answers – in today’s comments!

National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day? That’s pretty funny!
There is TRULY a holiday and event for everything under the sun!
he looks so cute…
Thank!
awww…he looks so cute,And love the quote…
Thanks! Seemed liked the appropriate quote for the week!
Wow, it is very funny indeed that there is a day for cat’s questions. And poor Magellan as an indoor cat, yet still so lucky to belong to your family.
Magellan makes the most of his environment – he’s actually pretty happy inside most days, except when we leave to go someplace and he gets left behind (when we come home – he is always waiting by the door with a guilt-inducing scowl!)
Aww! Magellan looks so cute in that phot0, good quote too
Have a tanfabulous week 🙂
Thanks Steve – he loves that spot!
Cute photo! I just read your National Answer Your Cat’s Question post. I found the statics interesting to read. We don’t wish any harm to come to them, although I realize the dangers they might face, but I’m happy that they can explore their world. Wishing you many more years of happiness with your indoor cats. Thanks for always hosting a great hop! God bless!
Have a wonderful week Christina and congrats on your son’s acceptance to the University!
Does that mean your plans to move have been postponed?
Love the quote! Guess that’s why they say cats have 9 lives.
They definitely need them – some more than others!
As we ‘speak’ my kitten is sprawled across my desk! I’d be lost without him!
That’s so sweet Emily – I know exactly how you feel!
Sweet – as always. Have a great week and thanks for hosting.
Thanks Meryl – hope you are having an awesome week!
Always a great party, thank you, have a great day!!
Thanks Karren! I visited earlier but your link wasn’t working – hope you are live in a bit! 🙂
Our Linus McDonald is a curious sort, looking and sniffing things he investigated a few hours earlier – as if it was for the first time!
Linus stays indoors, and we reassure him that it is fine. He agrees, and has never asked us to ddo so – even if he considers his territory to extend outside of the windows 🙂
Magellan is also very territorial and extends his territory outside our windows –
He gets indignant when people and vehicles below our windows!
Beautiful cat!
Thanks Freda!
Love the quote and your cat is beautiful!!
Thank you so much Ashleigh!
Our cats get foolishly curious, too. Then just as foolishly at times, they lose all sense of curiosity and make a beeline for the hills.
Lovely cats! Thanks for hosting & God bless!
Your video was just to darn cute. I love the picture of your kitty such an intense look. Thanks for hosting today, and I hope you find time to stop by me too! HUGS and have a wonderful day!
That’s a really good question, Magellan! And we enjoyed seeing it answered in Guideposts! 🙂
Isn’t every day a holiday if your a cat?
Pretty much – at least if you are a well-kept indoor cat!
Lovely capture. I’m sure not much escapes Magellan’s notice. 😉
Magellan is SO alert! You’re right – he seems to be just about everywhere at once!
All eight of us posed the same questions: “Why are there seven other cats here? Aren’t I enough?” XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calistsa Jo
I think that would be Tsunami’s question!
Would love to know your answer – there’s still time to post it at the National Answer Your Cat’s Question Day Blog Hop! 🙂
That’s adorable. I had no idea there was such a thing! I’ll have to mark it on our calendar for next year. Our three kitties have all sorts of questions. 😉
Cool video!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Our cats at home are always curious of things around the house. I think this is because they are hunters and they are always looking around to see things and find out what they are or can they be hunted.
Visited your blog today – your photos are lovely – such great composition!
Magellan is a mighty hunter too. He is constantly opening and going inside ALL of our cabinets, not content to wait for prey to come to him!
Aw, such a sweet capture! 🙂
Happy Wordless Wednesday!
If I were to become a cat person and actually get a cat….i would pick the chantilly. I don’t like lazy cats and i don’t like cats that get on everything. plus….she’s really pretty!!!
I know that look! I hope curiosity didn’t lead to trouble 🙂
Beautiful cat! I am visiting from the blog paws community and it would be awesome if you stopped by my blog as well. You can find me at
We are going to have to get a list of special dates for our calendar. We missed this one too. 🙂
Jan, I believe that Deb (of Zee and Zoey) posted a wonderful article for the CWA (Cat Writer’s Association) listing every possible date you could want to know about as a cat/pet blogger.
If you visit those sites and check the past few week’s worth of posts, I am sure that you can find it (and if not – ask Deb and I’m sure she’ll be happy to direct you to it!)
