Some days, our role as humans is to serve as
Full time CATerers to our cats!
According to the Yahoo Dictionary,
A CATerer’s job is to:
Provide food and entertainment.
Be particularly attentive or solicitous;
Minister;
Provide food service for.
Does this description sound strikingly familiar?
The reason that most of us don’t see ourselves that way
Is that our cats are gracious enough to let us believe that
We are calling the shots when –
In reality –
They have mastered the art of charming us
With a well-placed glance and flick of a paw!
As you can see from today’s photo,
Magellan has mastered the art of manipulation…
All he has to do is stretch – roll – reach out – and
Give us “the look” – to have humans and felines alike
CATering to his every whim!

Yes, my cat Yeti is incredibly spoiled. I think part of it is that he is such a good communicator. I can almost always understand exactly what it is he wants. In the morning, he wants me to uncover the bird cage so he can admire the birds. If I stray near the counter where his treats are kept, or if it is a mealtime for us, he will let me know he wants a treat by patting my leg with his paw or just nuzzling me. He LOVES to nap with me, so if I go within 20 feet of the bed, he will come bounding over to me hoping it is naptime and his disappointment is clear if I tell him no. The funny thing is that he has a clear understanding of naptime vs. bedtime. I can go near the bed all I want at bedtime and he won’t come anywhere near the bed because he is terrified my husband will roll over on him. Funny that he is smart enough to know the difference by whether it is light or dark out. So, yes I am clearly a CAT-erer, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. #SITSSharefest

I love the video of you loving it up with the happy kitty. OMG she looks like muy little Paprika a tortoise/calico/striped and I wondered how you confiscated her however when I saw the adorable bushy tale of yours I knew it was not the same. Your kitty just swoons at your touch!

I most definitely do cater to my cats! I always like to say that I do not own a cat, but rather I am owned by one. Lol.

Cats are master manipulators just due to their sheer cuteness. I can be manipulated by a cat I see in someone’s yard I’m driving past. 😀
