I’m still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that
Life doesn’t always turn out the way we imagine.
I’m still trying to comprehend why God would allow
All this suffering and hardship in the world.
But I have hope.
I have hope that one day we will all stand
At the empty tomb of this life’s suffering and,
Like the apostles on Easter morning,
God will begin to open our eyes.
He will help us to see how He resurrected
Even the greatest pain and suffering in our lives.

The old rugged cross was my father’s favorite hymn. I cannot believe that man was singing that song in a bar. I mean with all the screaming and the smoke it couldn’t be anything else could it? Wow, he was amazing though I must say. An amazing rendition of that song. He could really hit those notes. Thanks so much for sharing, and joining us today. HUGS… I hope you had a blessed Easter.

So glad I could share your father’s favorite hymn this week! The man singing the song is Craig Wayne Boyd, the winner of last season’s Voice, in a NY concert. I really hemmed and hawed about whether to share this particular video because of the setting – but his vocals are powerful (look up his Voice performance as well) and even though the screaming is distracting – there is something powerful about singing a hymn like that to a crowd that might not otherwise hear it.
