Magellan Demonstrates Trust
There are certain sights that warm my heart.
One of them is seeing my cats safe, happy and at total peace.
One of Magellan’s favorite rituals involves his
Nightly interactions with his human dad.
During our television viewing time,
Magellan loves to crawl onto his chest and into his arms,
Plop his full body weight into my husband’s hands,
Then roll and stretch and luxuriate in glee!
Before long, he ends up upside down like an acrobat,
Trusting my husband not to drop him on the floor
Or on his precious kitty head!
Frequently he falls asleep in this position…
By the end of the night,
My husband’s body parts have fallen asleep too –
Magellan arises well rested and ready to frolic all evening
While poor dad must contend with pins and needles in his limbs all night!

Magellan is the Dino of cats when it comes to Dad arriving home!
That is one beautiful cat! We have a cat and a dog. Two different personalities and it’s an adjustment in our home. But we both love them equally.

Trust is a joyous and beautiful thing. Magellan, what a cutie you are!
So adorable!
That cat is adorable. Thanks for sharing. We soon have our own house and maybe I will have a cat again too. Can’t wait 🙂
My cat does exactly the same. The difference is that he will alternate between my lap and his dad’s lap – and our body parts will fall asleep too 🙂
Such adorable pictures. Love the look on Magellan’s face.

Awww, the trust of a kitty… totally precious.
Magellan and Misty May are a lot alike. Misty May loves her dad and sleeps on him almost every evening during TV time. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Aww. Your post has me crying again. We had to suddenly put our cat down last night 🙁
We have an evening TV ritual at our house. The cat paws at the recliner until one of us lifts the leg section, then he snuggles in around our legs to take his evening nap. If we refuse to lift the leg portion he simply climbs on to our lap.
Thank you for hosting this blog hop.
Sarah the human
Adorable photos. I know exactly how dad feels!
Thanks for providing a great theme. It’s amazing how much trust we humans have in others and our machines. http://wp.me/p2jC53-anV

It’s okay to love both! 🙂
Beautiful kitty. 🙂 Ever since one of our Bichons had three cluster seizures about 4 years ago, he’s been a changed man. And I think it’s partially because my husband and I were there for him and talked him through the seizures, soothed him as much as we could and in the end, we took a week off to be with him because his equilibrium was completely off. But, I feel like since that day, he’s looked at us differently, in a sense that he knows that we’re 1000% per cent there for our little guy and he’s appreciative.
Kind of a weird thing to say, maybe, but that’s just what I think. Thanks for sharing 🙂

That’s a precious story to share Lindsay!
Animals experience the same emotions that we do – so your Bichon knew you were there when you needed him most – love it!
That’s what I believe, too. He was temporarily blind and I’m not sure if the hearing goes when they have seizures too but my husband and I were just there, comforting him, making sure he didn’t hurt himself and just talking real soft, in a soothing tone.
Thank goodness it was just that one, scary day and he recovered 100%, I’m grateful that we didn’t lose him.
Gosh I love this Blog Paws community. 🙂 Have a great day hun!
feels like hugging those lovely furry friends you have..Super cute..
Magellan is such a cute kitty. I think all my cats trust me except Snowball. She has been with us for almost 3 years and still runs from us. She came from a hoarding house then spent 2 years at the shelter so I can understand, but I was hoping she would see how the other cats trust us and figure it out.
I can so relate to Magellan’s “upside down” relaxations! My Peaches does the same thing and she’s not a light cat! Her greatest pleasure is to flip over on her back on TOP of my arm. Pins and needles too. But I can’t stop her! LOL. I just loved that last shot of Magellan with the blurry back paw…moving it obviously!

Sooo sweet. Thanks for sharing your babies with us…
Adorable photos, Magellan is one content kitty! I love when my dogs flop over & give us their bellies to rub. The ultimate trust signal.
