Hannah The Belle Of Prayer

Hannah The Belle Of Prayer by Erin Weidemann – Book Review

Have you ever wondered how you could present the heroines of the Bible to young girls in a fresh and relevant way?

So did Erin Weidemann.

As her niece Hannah’s birthday was approaching, Erin started to think about what she could give her that would be special – meaningful – not just another toy. She rewrote the story of Hannah from the Bible and made her a personalized book so that she could learn about the great biblical hero whose name she shares.

When Erin gave Hannah her gift, and her niece shared that she didn’t even know there a Hannah in the Bible, a light bulb went off in Erin’s head.

What if she created a series of books that got young girls as excited about biblical women as they were about princesses? What if she wrote books that provided real-life examples of what true beauty looked like? What if she showed girls that women can be real life heroes?

In that moment, the concept for the Bible Belles series was born.

The Bible Belles is a brand new children’s series that highlights the stories of five superhero women of the Bible: Hannah, Esther, Abigail, Ruth, and Deborah.

Developed through high-quality illustrations, each story presents these women and their positive attributes, values, and unique roles in God’s plan. Adapted from the text of the Bible, these stories allow girls to discover how they can become Bible Belles and remake themselves, and the world, from the inside out.

Hannah The Belle Of Prayer is the first book in the Bible Belle series. The book introduces us to Rooney Cruz – a sweet girl who is being bullied by the mean girls at her school. She’s having a really bad day, but fortunately, her life is about to take a turn for the better!

When Rooney seeks solace under her safe tree, her guardian angel Mari appears to her and introduces her to Hannah – a “Bible Belle” who was once tormented by a jealous foe, but overcame her adversary through the “superhero” power of prayer.

Mari teaches Rooney how to pray, and Rooney learns that once you achieve a “superhero” power like prayer, it’s yours forever.

Erin Weideman says:

Bible Belles was born out of a deep desire to change the current narrative being fed to girls about real beauty. It’s a five-book series that takes a girl on a journey to discover God’s love and her purpose by highlighting real heroes: five extraordinary women who embody what it means to be truly beautiful.

Hannah The Belle Of Prayer is the perfect gift for girls ages 5 through 11.
