Hunting Hope – Dig Through The Darkness To Find The Light – Book Review
Have you ever experienced a personal tragedy or gone through a difficult trial that has stretched you beyond anything you thought you were capable of handling?
If so, you know that hope is as vital to our soul, our spirit, and our emotional being as water and oxygen are to our physical bodies.
At some point in our lives, we will each have moments when we face dire circumstances and have to decide whether we will choose hope over despair.
In order to make it through the ups and downs that life brings our way, each of us needs to find a real, sustainable source of hope.
When Nika Maples was 20 years old, she and her family learned that our lives can change in the blink of an eye. While she was in college, leading a normal, healthy life, she had a brainstem stroke that left her quadriplegic. The doctors told her family she had 48 hours to live.
Thankfully, God had other plans for Nika’s life.
Twenty years later, Nika has written an amazing book called Hunting Hope – Dig Through The Darkness To Find The Light in which she shares how we – the beloved children of God – can move past any difficult circumstance in our life, deepen our relationship with God, and allow God to use us to bring hope and life to others, regardless of the circumstance we are facing.
Hunting Hope is a highly inspirational book that glorifies God and speaks the message of encouragement and hope that many of us need to hear.
I encourage you to read Hunting Hope with a highlighter in hand or a notebook nearby, so you can capture every nugget of wisdom that Nika shares.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

This book does sound really good. I love how even though her circumstances were so difficult and dark, Nika was able to find hope and strength in God. Thanks for sharing this review. Blessings!
Love inspirational stories like these! I just finished reading Called for Life by Kent Brantley, the missionary doctor who contracted Ebola while serving at the famous ELWA hospital. Seems like a similar theme of grace would be running through both books.
