Meet Coletta – Our Book Nook Blogger Of The Month!
Are your ready to meet some members of our wonderful Book Nook Community? This month I’d like to introduce you to Coletta Miller of Coletta’s Kitchen Sink – our first Book Nook Blogger of the Month at Create With Joy!
Coletta (or Lettie, as her friends and family call her) – is a faith-based book and personal blogger who’s been writing about everything, including the kitchen sink, since 2009! She’s also a stay-at-home mom to two girls who resides in a small town in Pennsylvania. Coletta and her husband Doug are also the parents of 2 dogs – Lilah and Jasmine – and Prince Poppycock – a rabbit who sounds like he’s full of personality!
In addition to the wonderful reviews that Coletta writes in a wide range of genres that include Christian inspirational and non-fiction books, romance, cozy mysteries and suspense, Coletta finds many creative ways to connect with her readers – including several fun swaps she hosts throughout the year!
Currently Coletta is hosting the Favorite Color Swap to celebrate her upcoming birthday in March. This sounds like such a wonderful way to make a new friend and swap goodies in the mail – be sure to stop by her blog for more details!
Everyone loves to feel appreciated! Be sure to visit Coletta – introduce yourself – and congratulate her for being this month’s Featured Blogger at the Book Nook at Create With Joy!
February 2017 Book Of The Month – Attend
Attend: Forty Soul Stretches Toward God – Book Review
In the midst of your busy life, do you ever feel disconnected from God? Laura Davis Werezak did – so she began to explore ways to reconnect with the One who nourishes and sustains her soul.
In Attend: Forty Soul Stretches Toward God, Laura shares 40 ways that we can turn ordinary, daily activities – things we often do anyway but take for granted – into spiritual activities that help us “attend” or “stretch toward” God. The book is structured like a devotional and addresses topics such as the importance of Returning to God and the importance of Rest, Quietness and Trust.
Attend is a simple yet profound book that helps us open our hearts to God and incorporate faith and spirituality into our daily lives. A wonderful gift of a book!

Hi Brandi,
Thanks for checking – while your posts are FINE to share (we clarified things offline) – I want to respond here as well in case others who SHOULD be joining us are not because they share the concern you expressed:
Everyone is welcome to share book-reviews and other blog posts that relate to reading, literacy, reading challenges, authors/interviews, etc – even if they contain affiliate links to a book within the post – as long as the article you are posting adds value to the community. What I would ask that party-goers NOT do is to post links that directly go to a sales site for the express purpose of selling their product. For example, an author should not post a link that leads directly to their book on Amazon. However, an author or a blogger can share a link ABOUT the book, like a review or an article on why the book was written or an interview with the author, that contains a link to the book on Amazon within the context of the article.
Hope this helps!
how fun. I used to do book reviews on my blog, but then I found it to be more of a burden to rush through a book and not thoroughly enjoy it… This linkup is fantastic, I can find great reads and then enjoy the reading process. Thanks for sharing at #LMM where we are neighbors.

So glad you found us Debbie – I know what you mean about book reviews – after I do my book reviews, I keep a special pile of the ones I particularly like and go back and read/savor them at my leisure when I don’t feel so under the gun to complete it! 🙂
I feel like I just made up for lost time. 🙂 Thanks for your email. Glad I know I can link up now!
