Follow The Cloud: Hearing God’s Voice One Next Step At A Time – Book Review
If you are interested in learning more about what it means to live the abundant life that Jesus promised us in John 10:10, a wonderful resource to consider is John Stickl’s new book Follow The Cloud: Hearing God’s Voice One Next Step At A Time, which releases on August 1, 2017.
Follow The Cloud takes us on a journey with the Israelites through the book of Exodus and shows us how their physical journey from slavery out of Egypt, into the wilderness, and ultimately into freedom in the Promised Land serves as a spiritual guide and metaphor for our spiritual and emotional journey out of bondage into a new relationship with God, a new identity in Christ, and empowered living through the Holy Spirit.
This book is full of profound insights that you will want to slowly ponder over and allow to sink into your heart – a book not just to be read, but one to be applied and lived out. To that end, there are quotes, diagrams, and journaling questions for your reflection.
John Stickl says:
Your Promised Land isn’t a destination; it’s a revelation of who you are, who He is, and what you were created to do. It’s life in the Father’s heart. And though you may not even be aware of it, He is there. Calling. Drawing. Inviting you to follow. Inviting you home.
One.
Next step.
At a time.
It’s always a pleasure to discover a new author whose writings resonate with you, and Follow The Cloud definitely spoke my to my heart.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I like the idea of gaining an ability to hear what ‘is’ and ‘is not’ God’s voice throughout the day. I like that it’s being related to the Bible story of the Israelites and their 40 year sojourn from the Promised Land.
Sounds like a great book. I look forward to its release. Thanks for reviewing.
