Awaken: 90 Days With The God Who Speaks by Priscilla Shirer
I love devotionals – but not all devotionals are created equal. The time we spend with our Lord is invaluable. When I use a devotional to lead me into the presence of God, I want a devotional that is fresh, insightful, and based on Scripture.
I’m not looking for a book that’s full of fluff and pithy sayings, but one that will lead me to a better understanding of the Lord and teach me how to apply the precepts of the Bible to my life. I want a devotional that will deepen my relationship with and faith in God by increasing my knowledge and understanding of Him.
Sounds like a tall order? Perhaps – but not when the author is Priscilla Shirer.
In her first devotional book ever, Awaken: 90 Days With The God Who Speaks, Priscilla has written 90 devotions that can transform your life, if you let them sink deep into your soul. These devotions were culled from the personal insights of Priscilla’s journals based on her own time with God over the course of many years. They reflect the heart of a woman who knows and loves God, who has a long-standing personal relationship with Him – they type of women we should all aspire to be.
I’ve read a lot of wonderful devotionals over the years, and Awaken by Priscilla Shirer deserves its place among the best of them!
