Welcome To Wordless Wednesday At Create With Joy!

Frisco 33.5 Inch Scratching Post
#ChewyInfluencer Review

’Tis the season to shop for the purr-fect presents for your favorite felines – and what could be more purr-fect than a new cat post for your indoor cat?

Whether you’re a first time kitten owner or a seasoned cat lover, having one or more scratching posts in your home is an indispensable for both you and your cat!

Here are some of the benefits that you and your cat will enjoy when you add a cat post in your home:

  • Your cats will have an approved place to care for their claws, to stretch, exercise and play, and to alleviate any pent-up tension, frustration and stress they may be feeling!

  • You will have designated a place for them to scratch so that they do not have to pick a place of their own, such as your favorite leather lounger!

  • In a multi-cat household, a scratching post can serve as a gathering place for play, interaction, and social development.

Today, there are multiple cat post styles available in a variety of designs and materials so that it’s easier than ever to find the purr-fect post that both you and your cat will enjoy.

Magellan Tests The Frisco Cat Post

One beautiful cat post that fits beautifully into our home is the Frisco 33.5 Inch Scratching Post that’s available in two color choices – Solid Cream or Cream and Brown – at Chewy.com. Both are gorgeous, but I couldn’t resist the contrasting colors of the Cream and Brown!

The cat post comes in a long, rectangular box with instructions for the easy assembly that’s required (you have to screw the top and bottom to the midsection using the tool they provide). Once you put it together, you have an extremely solid and sturdy cat post – something that is very important to breeds like Maine Coon Cats!

Cat posts and scratchers generally come in one of three materials – carpet, cardboard, or sisal. The top and base of this post are covered in carpet and the mid-section of this post is covered in a layer of woven, durable sisal cover (a material that many cats love!) Tsunami and Magellan are used to scratching carpeted posts, so they enjoyed the plush carpet at the top and the bottom of the post. They are not accustomed to scratching on sisal, however, so they are still adjusting to the feel of the material.

If you are looking for a quality scratching post with a sturdy base that will fit beautifully into your decor, be sure to check out the Frisco 33.5 Inch Scratching Post and all of the other goodies that our friends at Chewy.com provide.

For more great ideas, be sure to check out last year’s Christmas gift as well!

Disclosure: Magellan and Tsunami received a free sample of this product from Chewy.com as members of the #ChewyInfluencer Network. The opinions we’ve shared reflect our personal experience with this product. We are also Chewy.com Autoship customers and we highly recommend their service to you!

  13. Natalie A says:

I LOVE your cat post! My cat loves to scratch on cat posts. I have several throughout the house and I go through them a lot.

  14. I do love a good post, and a good scratch too, so, this looks just the ticket for an indoor or outdoor cat. I do have 72″ of post to do my stretches and scratches on but the human refuses to bring the gate post in the house…. I don’t see why not?
