Spurgeon Journal – Book Review
If you were making a list of features to look for in your ideal journal, what would you include? After writing in just about every type of notebook and journal on the market, here are a few of the essentials I’d look for to enhance my enjoyment now and in the years to come:
- A leather-bound book and cover for durability
- Acid-free paper to help prevent fading of ink
- Lined pages to help my writing stay tidy and legible
- Numbered pages and a referencing system so I can find important entries
- Inspirational thoughts to reflect on while I write
The totality of these features is difficult to find in most journals – but the new Spurgeon Journal from B&H Academic totally knocks it out of the park!
The Spurgeon Journal is a lightweight, 5” x 8.25”, 140 page lined journal that is beautiful yet understated in its elegance. It’s a book that both men and women will find appealing. Journal writers will love this book because of its distinctive features, including the lovely lined title page and the contents pages which allow you to reference your writings by page numbers.
Fans of Charles Spurgeon will want to use this book for their note-taking as Spurgeon’s inspirational words – culled from his early “lost” sermons – are quoted throughout the journal.
Because of its size, this journal lends itself particularly well to bullet journaling.
Sometimes I’ll share a favorite feature I like about a book or product., but honestly, I love everything about the Spurgeon Journal!
If you are a note-taker or a journaler, then I highly recommend this beautiful journal to you!
