Secrets Of Slime: 30 Projects For Stretchable, Squishy, Sensory Fun – Book Review

Oozy, gooey messy stuff is not my jam – but if your kids are into it, they will love the 30 projects in the Secrets of Slime Recipe Book (and, I confess, that if you are into that kind of stuff, you’ll probably find it kind of cool as well!)

This book contains 30 imaginative projects – each accompanied by full-color photos and detailed ingredients and instructions – just like you would find in a regular recipe book!

Secrets Of Slime Interior 1

Spend a fun rainy day with your kids making Magical Unicorn Slime, Mythical Mermaid Slime, or Birthday Cake Butter Slime. Plan some home-schooling projects that involve making Under The Sea Slime, Out Of This Galaxy Slime, or Color Changing Slime. It’s actually pretty amazing discovering the variety of things you can create with a little scientific slime knowledge in your head!

Secrets Of Slime Interior

For those of us who find it hard to take a book about slime seriously, the author has filled the book with the appropriate amount of tongue-in-cheek humor, making this an enjoyable read. In the midst of encouraging your kids to be slimers, she remembers to tell them “not to eat the slime” and provides other appropriate safety notes. She also encourages your kids to become “slime scientists” by helping them find their own slime style, concoct their own slime recipes, and even keep their own slime diaries!

Color Changing Slime

Slime may not be my jam – but for all of you who are into slime – the Secrets of Slime Recipe Book is actually a fun read and first rate experience!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Oh I know quite a few kids who would love this! We’ve tried many slime recipes through the years; even color changing slime.

  2. Suzy Godfrey says:

Looks like fun for the young ones!

  3. Chrissy says:

My kids would love this. Great Summer Book for ideas

  4. Amanda would love this book! She already watches how to make slime on YouTube and one weekend used her birthday money to buy the necessary ingredients. I let her do it on her own, since she’s 11 and able to follow easy instructions. I did see your post before, but I’m finally checking it out via Mommynificent’s blog hop. Have a blessed weekend!

  5. I’m with you! Slime looks cool until I have to touch it or clean it up! 🙂 Thanks for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday at Mommynificent.com this month!
