Happy Independence Day!

Red-White-Blue-Layer-Cake

Happy Independence Day to all of our friends in the US! Here in the Greater Los Angeles, we started our day with a jolt in the form of a 6.4. earthquake (where we live, we felt major, earth-rolling that made me feel nauseous while it happened). Fortunately, it occurred in a more outlying region of the metropolitan area or the results could have been truly disastrous.

Do you love patriotic projects as much as I do? There’s just something so beautiful about seeing red, white and blue paired together, whether it’s in home décor or on the table! One of the things that I love about this theme is that it can also be used throughout the year as several of our US holidays lend themselves to this theme!

If you are looking for great patriotic party recipes for Labor Day, Flag Day, or any other patriotic events, be sure to check out Christina’s 4th Of July Layer Cake – it’s a mouth-watering choice for upcoming summertime birthday parties too!

How are you celebrating the 4th? Share your plans, projects and photos with us in the links and comments and have an amazing weekend!
