A Small Book For The Anxious Heart by Edward T. Welch
Have you ever noticed that a small book can often pack a powerful punch?
So it is with A Small Book For The Anxious Heart: Meditations On Fear, Worry And Trust by Edward T. Welch.
If you are struggling with fear, worry or anxiety, Ed (a licensed Christian psychologist who has written extensively on depression, fear and addictions) has written 50 devotionals to help you meditate and apply God’s Word as spiritual tools in your battle towards peace. The devotionals are insightful and are both practical and biblical in nature.
My favorite part of the book are the “Response” questions that come at the end of the devotionals. They help you to process the information you glean from each day so that you can apply it to your life. If you really want to apply the material, treat yourself to a journal and work through the devotional in this way!
This book is tiny enough to take with you wherever you go so that you can read and refer to it anytime that you need it!
I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Maybe we try too hard! If a heart is anxious, maybe just a few words, “fitly spoken,” are better and more soothing.
Great concept!
That does sound like a pretty big little book!
Feels like a long time since I read one of your excellent book reviews!
