Friend Of The Week – Jasmine

Have you ever been inspired to create something beautiful because you’ve been inspired by the world around you? Perhaps you’ve taken a walk in the great outdoors and have been moved to captured Mother Nature’s beauty through photography, painting, or illustration. Or perhaps you’ve received a gift like a fragrant bouquet of roses that has inspired you to create a paper-crafting project, a floral arrangement, or even something more innovative!

This week I’d like to introduce you to Jasmine of Eccentricities By JVG! Jasmine is a creative gal with a passion for art, crafts and DIY upcycle. She loves sharing ideas that will spark your imagination and creativity on her blog, Best of all, Jasmine’s projects are simple enough that we can re-create them too!

A few days ago, Jasmine celebrated her birthday (Best of Birthdays to You!) and received a gorgeous bouquet of roses to mark the occasion. Have you ever received flowers and wanted a way to remember their beauty after they’re gone? Jasmine was inspired to create Hand Painted Rose Soap to remind her of their essence. Not only are these perfect for the powder room, they also make wonderful guest gifts!

Another beautiful yet practical DIY project by Jasmine is her DIY Decorating Tape Bookmarks. If you like to read, you can never have enough bookmarks to keep up with your latest bookish adventures! These bookmarks are easy to make – you simply cut and paste your favorite combinations of washi tape as shown. If you’re giving books as gifts this season, they make the perfect custom touch to add to your gift package!
