The King James Study Bible – Review & Giveaway

The King James Study Bible – Review

Are you looking for a new Bible for yourself or a loved one? If you are, then The King James Study Bible (Full Cover Edition) is a great Bible to consider! What’s unique about The King James Study Bible is that it’s the only Bible that’s developed extensive commentary, doctrinal notes, archaeological insights, and time-tested study aids exclusively for the King James Version. This Bible also has an array of full-color photographs of the Holy Land and classic works of art as well as charts and maps to help you grow in your biblical knowledge.

Like most Thomas Nelson Bibles, The King James Study Bible comes in a wide range of cover options. My Leathersoft, Brown (Duotone), Thumb-Indexed, Red Letter edition arrived in a colorful presentation box that is perfect for storage and gift-giving. The cover and color choice are a perfect choice for men but also an elegant, classic option for women too!

The Leathersoft edition of The King James Study Bible is pleasurable to hold and beautiful to behold. While it’s a little on the heavy side at 4.32 pounds, it’s perfect for in-home, at-desk use. The “large print” (10-point) font is arranged in two columns with a narrow lavender column filled with cross-references running down the center of the page as well as commentary on each page.

I’m finding this Bible both easy and enjoyable to read. The notes, commentary and study aids in The King James Study Bible are particularly interesting. Everything about this Bible draws me deeper into God’s Word!

Here’s a list of some of the specific features you’ll find inside of The King James Study Bible:

  • Beautiful full-color throughout
  • Easy-to-read 10-pt type large print
  • 5,700 authoritative and study notes
  • Center-column references with translation notes
  • Hundreds of color maps and charts
  • Over 100 archaeological notes
  • Over 100 personality profiles
  • Over 200 notes on Christian doctrines
  • Easy-to-navigate topical indexes
  • Book introductions and outlines
  • Word-study concordance
  • Time-honored KJV Bible text

If you’re looking for a good King James Bible with study notes, be sure to include this in your list of contenders. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
