What Are Your Favorite Friends Up To This Week?
Hello dear friends – hope you are having a fabulous spring! Did you know that May is my favorite month of the year?) We’re currently enjoying temperate weather in Southern California (today it’s a glorious 74 degrees!) and savoring every moment. We know the searing heat can pop up at any time.
One of the rites of winter into spring is setting aside time to spring clean our homes and hosting yard sales to pawn off our treasures on passerby’s! Have you ever hosted a yard sale? If so, what were the results? I’ve only co-hosted one in my life – a moving sale – and it was well worth the effort we put into it!
If you’re interested in cleaning out your home and making a few extra bucks, Ann at The Apple Street Cottage posted a great article, The Ultimate Yard Sale Guide, which newbies will find very helpful!
Looking ahead, Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner. Would you find it amusing to learn that my patriotic pick of the week actually comes from across the pond?
Lifestyle blogger Claire Justine shared her recipe for these stunning Great British Cupcakes that not only sport the colors of the Union flag but also of the American flag! Perhaps it’s a sign of our country’s shared roots!
Finally, since Summer is the season for cookouts, I’m always on the lookout for the perfect Baked Bean recipe. Guess what? Renae at Peacock Ridge Farm claims she has it! Ready to test it out and weigh in on the results? Hop on over to How To Make The Best Baked Beans and let us know what you think!
Making new friends and deepening existing relationships is always a joy! Be sure to visit Ann, Claire and Renae this week, explore their blogs, leave them some comment love, and congratulate them for being our Friend Of The Week at Friendship Friday at Create With Joy!

It sounds like perfect weather there in Cali! I am jealous… it is nice here but a cold front is coming in with lots of wind here in Utah. ? Thank you for hosting your party… I know how much effort it takes!

Thank you so much for sharing my cupcake post. Great for any summer parties. That’s a great idea, they could be made for any country too, just change the sprinkle colours 🙂 🙂

We had a few garage sales when my kids were little. It was fun, and my kids had a blast while clearing out some of their stuff and making money!
Wish we were able to host one here (HOA does not allow it).
