What Are Your Favorite Friends Up To This Week?
Happy July and Happy Independence Day Weekend to all of you (whether you’re in the States or abroad!) Now that summer has officially arrived, I hope you have lots of plans for reconnecting and gathering with family and friends you may have been separated from during the pandemic! I thought it would be fun to share some of the hospitality-themed posts our community has been creating this time round. Ready to kick off the party?
Marsha at The Little Yellow Corner Store created a Sweet Old Summer Time Tablescape that is perfect for patriotic holidays like the Fourth of July! She shared so many photographs filled with details of one loving detail after another, you definitely need to visit her blog to enjoy them all! What I love most about this is that you don’t need to own Marsha’s exact treasures to recreate the look – as you study each photo, identify what you like the most and have fun hunting (in your home, at yard sales, in second hand shops) for the perfect pieces to complement your unique style!
The Lou Lou Girls (Kimberly, Cassie and Amber) created the perfect summer dessert that’s also appropriately red, white and blue for your Fourth of July celebration! Lemon Blueberry Snacking Cake is one of those desserts that everyone will love (no matter how small the gathering, you’ll be hard-pressed to return home with leftovers!)
Finally, Father’s Day has come and gone, but sometimes you come across a tablescape that’s timeless. That’s what happened when I visited Diane at South House Designs and fell in love with the stunning Father’s Day Tablescape she designed (she melted my heart with that typewriter! Father’s Day only comes once a year – but you could use the elements in her design to celebrate your favorite writer, athlete, graduate or anyone on their special day!
Making new friends and deepening existing relationships is always a joy! Be sure to visit Marsha, the Lou Lou Girls and Diane this week, explore their blogs, leave them some comment love, and congratulate them for being our Friend Of The Week at Friendship Friday at Create With Joy!

This was our SECOND 4th of July to do nothing, lol. We weren’t unhappy and I’m happy there’s the holiday, but we just didn’t want to fight the crowds to see the fireworks.
