Friendship Friday is the place to make new friends, to grow rich relationships, to explore new blogs, and to expand your social networks! Who will you meet this week? Whoever it is, have fun connecting with one another – building friendships is what this community is all about!
What’s Happening Around The Web?
Happy February dear friends! It has been way too long since we’ve had the chance to connect in this community and for that, I apologize. Posting new parties and seeing all of the amazing things you’re doing is always high on my list of things to do but due to circumstances beyond my control, that has not been possible for the past several weeks.
To kick off the party, I’d like to know: How is 2024 treating you so far? Have you set any big goals you’re working towards this year? Any big wins to celebrate? Let us know in the comments so that we can cheer you on!
Behind the scenes, one of the things I’m working on is changing email providers. I have not been able to communicate with you the way I’d like with my current provider, but I’ve been using ConvertKit for several months now at Light And Manna and the difference feels like night and day! If you are a blogger or business owner who is looking for a better way to connect with your community, I invite you to check them out – you won’t be disappointed!
On a personal note, after receiving a bill from our cable company that reflects an increase in price without advance notice, we are finally ready to cut the cord. If you have moved from cable to a streaming service, could you please share your experiences with me? Since this is new territory for us, any advice and insights you’d like to offer would be helpful!
During my meanderings around the web, I’ve come across several exciting events that are happening this month! Here’s a list of things that are happening right now. Feel free to let us know about anything you come across as well!
If you’re looking for a fun reading challenge, check out Michelle at The Book Devotions is hosting Fairy Tale February! Sign up for her email list to receive daily links to both favorite and forgotten fairy tales. This is a great way to relax your brain and read just for fun!
If you’re a Christian who wants to learn more about spiritual gifts – what they are, what your gift is, and how and where to use them – please join us at the Grow In Gifts Virtual Conference, which runs from Monday, February 5 through Thursday, February 8. When you sign up, you have the choice of snagging either a FREE TICKET that provides you with 24 hour access to each day’s presentations or a VIP Passes that provides lifetime access plus some amazing bonuses! My husband will be speaking on the spiritual gift of teaching on Wednesday so if you’d like to watch Roy’s presentation, be sure to save the date!
Finally, February is all about love, and I’d like to share a new resource that is sure to bless your heart! My friend Angie Baughman recently released her third Bible study, Love Never Fails: Building A Framework For Healthy Relationships, which walks you through 1 Corinthians 13 (the “love” passage!)
This book holds a special place in my heart because it includes the podcast interview that Angie and I did last year on the word “truth” in verse 6. If you enjoy word studies and would like to take a deeper look at this passage, I invite you to check out this special book!
There’s so much more I’ll be sharing in the weeks to come, but now it’s time to get this party started!

Friendship Friday is open for your viewing and linking pleasure all week. Be sure to say hello and introduce us to yourselves and your blog in the comments!
P.S. Friendship Friday is a weekly blog hop, but my family is currently in a season of transition. Until life settles down, I am leaving the party open for an extended period of time to ensure that you have a weekly place to share in the event that I am unable to host a new party in any given week. Please continue to join the fun each week and add your links to the latest party for the chance to be seen, visited and featured! Thanks for your grace and understanding!

Thank you for providing this linkup party in addition to your busy life. I hope things smooth out for you and you can enter a season of much-needed rest and renewal.
Great linky party! Thanks for hosting! I hope everytging is going well with the family transition!
Thanks for hosting a great party!! Have a great week ahead.
Thanks for hosting and sending you a prayer. Hope that things are well and have a wonderful week.
Good luck with cutting the cord, we did that over 2 years ago. It takes some getting used to but once you do it is great. I recommend either Fubo-TV or YouTubeTV plus there’s lots of freebie things out in the streaming world.
Hi Ramona! It sounds like things have been very busy for you. I was happy to see your Friendship Friday post, and to link up and hop around to visit other folks’ blogs. I hope you, Roy, and Magellan are doing well. 🙂
Thanks Kevin – miss you – hope to get back to regular posting soon!
Thanks for hosting!
My New Year’s resolution is to eat healthily and enjoy this year as we approach our 50th wedding anniversary! Life goes by quickly and each day is a precious gift.
I switched to ConvertKit recently too, Ramona and have been very pleased! Your Grow in Gifts conference sounds wonderful. Thank you so much for hosting the party! Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
I was beginning to wonder if Friendship Friday was continuing as I hadn’t seen it in a while. Thanks for the party. New 2024 goals? I don’t really do goals or resolutions. Just the usual try to eat healthier. I always eat the good stuff, but then I tend to eat the bad stuff too, so my goal is eliminate more bad stuff. ha ha. I also hope to travel more. Last year we didn’t travel as much as I’d like to due to a surgery I had to have.
Hi Amy, sorry that the posts have been so sporadic but yes I do plan on continuing Friendship Friday!
Hope you are doing well!
We only stream TV. We buy on Paramount and everything else we stream Free. We love Pluto TV but I would look around and see who is offering Free trails and Find a service you like. It depends on you TV watching.
My tip on streaming is get one or 2 providors, binge it all and then cancel and get a different one. Then binge again and after a few months switch. I don’t know if you can get SBS on Demand over there but it’s free and we end up watching it all the time, even tho we have 4 streaming services at the moment
Thank you for this wonderful blog hop.
Happy February Ramona! It’s so nice to see you. I’m linking up at #13,14&15. I want to thank you for your hospitality and hosting this amazing group of friends.
Also thanks bunches and bunches for sharing Friendship Friday with Sweet Tea & Friends this month dear friend.
Also, I haven’t had cable in years. I just use my Internet to stream my shows. I subscribe to Hulu and Paramount+ which are reasonably priced. I also watch shows on other free streaming services like Tubi, Pluto. Also if you have Amazon prime you can get
Prime Video. I like streaming my shows, I enjoy the classic and nostalgic sitcoms.
Thinking of you. I hope everything is going well.
