The Song “Variations On The Kanon By Pachelbel” Can Be Found On George Winston’s December Album – Both The Original And 20th Anniversary Editions! |
As we enter the final week before Christmas, I thought you might enjoy a respite for your spirit, so I’d like to share a song from my favorite pianist, George Winston!
Variations On The Canon By Pachelbel represents Winston’s interpretation of Canon In D by Johann Pachelbel, one of the greatest organist-composers of his day. For centuries, this song was forgotten, but in the late 1970s, the Jean François Paillard chamber orchestra recorded the song, and a musical resurgence began. Today, over 460 versions of this song have been recorded!
Enjoy the video, and have a peaceful week!
