Easter Greetings

Did you know that two of my favorite groups – The Play Date Cafe and Our Daily Bread – are both sponsoring fabulous blog hops this weekend, complete with inspiring challenges to jump start your creativity?

For those of you who see the world in color, there is no better place to hang than The Play Date Cafe! Each week, they provide an inspiring color challenge along with a photograph to get your creative juices flowing! This week, Julie Cambell’s Creativity Challenge #20 is based on one of my favorite color combinations ever – soft lavenders and pastel greens. When I saw this photo, visions of soft vintage lace and pretty flowers immediately came to mind!

Our Daily Bread is a faith-based site featuring challenges that frequently highlight – but are not limited to – their exclusive line of Christian-themed stamps. You will not want to miss this hop – their Design Team is amazing! Their 2nd Anniversary Challenge – Day 2 – China, revolves around the contemporary gift for one’s second anniversary. They provided this photo collage of china patterns for inspiration. I combined the colors of the second to last china pattern (the soft lilacs and greens) which coordinate with The Play Date Cafe’s PDCC20 and incorporated an Easter Theme in keeping with the faith focus of their site!

The products used to create Easter Greetings include the following:

  • The lovely vintage papers and image are from My Minds Eye.
  • The pearls are from Kaiser Scrapbook.
  • The ribbon is from Basic Grey.
  • The flowers are from Prima.
  • The distress ink is Color Box Chalk Ink – Olive Pastel.
  • The lace is from my personal collection – source unknown.

Have a wonderful day everyone! Enjoy your extra hour of daylight!
