Multi-Challenge Card: Love Deep, Live Long

I enjoy creating and receiving non-traditional birthday cards – so several years ago, when I first saw CTMH’s D1036 Heritage stamp set, it was the sentiment “love deep, live long” that turned this into a “must have” for me. What a beautiful thought to express to a loved one!

This week at Pile It On, Challenge 14 is Say It With Words – and I couldn’t agree more that with a sentiment like this, no images are needed to convey one’s feelings! Thematically, the card fits with the Creative Card Crew’s Challenge 48 Happy Birthday theme and the AI Factory Challenge 32 – Birthdays.

Fresh – April’s Word at The smART Challenge – continues to run through my mind, and I chose the blue, green, and white color scheme to convey the ambience of fresh flowers in a spring meadow. Stamp Something’s challenge this week is to feature Something Layered on your card, so I layered six strips of DCWV paper to create the background, then accented the papers with the pretty Prima flower, the sheer silvery-blue ribbon, and the stamped sentiment.

Now, in case you missed it, I am sponsoring a fun challenge this weekend for my Kindred Spirits. Be sure to stop by and enter for a chance to win a few goodies from me – and be sure to join me and my friends on Monday, April 19th as we launch our first Organizational Blog Hop!

It's a beautiful card. Those 4 words say it all, and the colors are great too.
