Friend Of The Week – Debra
This week I’d like to introduce you to an unusual gal. Her name is Debra, and she’s the blogger behind My Humble Home And Garden!
Debra has an unusual story to share. She’s a Southern Indiana gal who attended the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and then made an unusual career choice – she enlisted in the US Navy!
During that time she met a sailor, fell in love, and has been married ever since June 6, 1976!
In her fairy-tale love story she has four grown children, three adorable grandchildren, and a new-found passion as a do-it-yourself blogger who loves to share recipes, crafts, photography and gardening with her friends and readers!

Question of the week – It was a set up!! Mutual friends planned a camping trip and invited us both so we could meet. I almost backed out! And here we are 32 years later and happily ever after!

Question of the week: I met my husband at my mom’s Christian bookstore and he started coming in A LOT to buy more and more books…And then I took over managing our families soda fountain diner and suddenly he was buying A LOT of milkshakes. lol 9 months later we married 🙂
And this is my first stop to Create With Joy. So, Hello! I”m Delci from Heritage Club Stables. I blog about horses/cowboys, farm life/homesteading and God. I believe God is weaving His story through every part of our lives, if we just listen. And I love to write. So my hope is to use my “pen” to inspire people to take action to grow in the areas I write about.

Question of the Week: We met in Adak, Alaska. I saw him across the room at the Ptarmigan Club at the Communications Station.
He was wearing a red sweater. With his dark hair and mustache, he looked pretty handsome. I caught his eye and boldly introduced myself. That was 41 years ago.
