Organization: A Place For Lace

Organizing is what you do before you do something, so that when you do it, it is not all mixed up.

A. A. Milne

I have always loved lace. Several years ago, I began to collect lace for my projects. For the longest time, however, a good storage solution for my beautiful trims eluded me, and my delicate lace was tucked away in dark little boxes in (gasp!) common plastic baggies.

When I first saw this organizer, I thought it would be the perfect place to store my loose lace as the container was easily transportable, and the compartments were wide enough to house the most common sizes, yet shallow enough to make access easy. So, I gathered every piece of lace I could find from my boxes, baggies, and scrapbook kits and organized them (more or less) by size and color. Now I can easily access all but my widest lace in one fell swoop when I need it for a special project!

While I’ve snubbed plastic containers in the past, I’ve been recently recycling them, and finding that when I match them with the right items, they make great affordable storage! Interested in seeing more? Stay tuned, as I’ll be sharing more storage solutions in upcoming posts!

That's a neat idea. It's one I'm going to try too. Organization is not my strong suit!

I was inspired to "clean up my act' last month as well. it is amazing how those creative juices start flowing when you can actually see all of your materials. For me…I just wonder how long it will last:>
