WOYWW 14 (A Day Late!)

Hello world! I did not forget my What’s On Your Workspace Wednesday post – but it appears that a bit of a bug got the better of me yesterday, and I spent most of the day sleeping and catching up on some much needed rest! So, I thought I’d go a head and share what I had intended to yesterday before I start my Thursday!

The pretty face that is greeting you is Angelica! No, I did not get a new cat – Angelica is the only female Maine Coon I have ever owned, and she was one of two Maines I lived with prior to my current boys! She  currently resides with my sister-in-law in single-cat bliss, but comes to visit me on occasion, where she loves to hang out with me in The Paper Palace and play with my toys!

What’s on my desk this week? Fabric – and lots of it! This month, I’m participating in a Fabric ATC swap with my Collage ATC group, and this is the fabric package I received from Kindred Spirit Wendy – can you believe all of the goodies she sent? There are so many beautiful swatches in here – I will have lots of extras to play with, just like I did last month! I managed to make my first two ATCs yesterday before I passed out – but did not have a chance to take a picture of them, so I’ll share them with you on an upcoming post!

Speaking of swaps – Wendy also enclosed my Girly Swap ATCs from March and I thought you might enjoy seeing what some of my swap partners did with their cards! We all received the same materials to work with for this swap – goodies which included stamped images, ribbon and fiber, stickers, fabric, and an assortment of embellishments. It’s always fun to see how everyone uses the materials so differently – how everyone interprets the theme in different ways – and how various people’s personalities shine through on these swaps!

Now, for the past few weeks, I’ve been blessed to be able to share a few goodies I’ve received throughout the week – and today is no exception! My dear friend and Kindred Spirit Linda Abby surprised me with this beautiful ATC which arrived just in time for Easter! Linda is also hosting a Mystery Image Swap this month and was kind enough to send me these bunny images so that I could play, even though I was naughty and did not sign up on my own! Thanks Linda for your thoughtfulness – I’ll be in touch soon!

Speaking of bunnies, have you noticed the Calendar Of Events I recently added to my sidebar? I’ve been hop, hop, hopping all over creation as of late, and thought I’d use that space to share blog hops and other timely events of interest!

I recently participated in my second blog hop, The Good Eggs Giveaway, and had a chance to visit and meet some wonderful crafters during that event! One of the artisans I met during the hop was a talented UK-based bear-maker named JulietK. She sent me this adorable sheep keychain as a Mystery Gift for becoming a new follower on her blog during the hop. Wasn’t that sweet? Juliet makes a variety of gifts (in addition to the bears!) and has a number of tutorials on her blog, so be sure to stop by and let her know I sent you!

Well, I’m surely the last gal to be linking up this week, but if you would like to see what everyone else is up to, be sure to stop by Julia’s The Stamping Ground for a look at what is going on, here and abroad, in the crafting world!

Have a great day – and for those of you who miss my boys – tune in tomorrow – it’s Tsunami’s birthday!

So glad to know you are safe. I'm not from CA and I have felt them when I was visiting the LA area, specifically "the valley." Love all your goodies and your CATS, too, although I realize the Maine Coon in this post is not yours. You tell an interesting story, and I hope to join WOYWW next week. Hope you get to feeling better.

Miss Anjelica is beautiful, is there a reason she no longer lives with you? Hope you're feeling better and rested now.

I like the idea of a Fabric ATC swap. I'm doing an atc swap now on a forum and one that's turned up to be swapped is a lovely fabric atc..so I'm definitely going to have a go at that!
