Now that the dog days of summer are here, I thought I”d share one of my favorite summer drinks – Watermelon Sherbet Smoothies! This refreshing drink is the perfect treat to beat the heat, and best of all – you can whip one up in a few minutes and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Seedless Watermelon
1 Cup Crushed Ice
1 Cup Raspberry or Watermelon Sherbet (I use Raspberry)
1 Teaspoon Lime Juice
1 Teaspoon Miniature Semisweet Chocolate Chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. Combine the Watermelon, Ice, Sherbet, and Lime Juice in a blender.
2. Process for 30 seconds or until smooth. Stir if necessary.
3. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately!
Presentation Tip:
If desired, before serving the drinks, sprinkle the tops with chocolate chips to resemble watermelon seeds!

Especially good if you have a huge watermelon – more than you can eat – and don’t want it to go to waste!
