Happy Thanksgiving dear friends! As I reflect upon the many blessings of this past year – to numerous to count – I want you to know how appreciative I am of each and every one of you!
Enjoy your day! Enjoy your meal! Enjoy Songs of Worship #10: Thanksgiving Medley, which includes the quintessential Thanksgiving song, We Gather Together – a Dutch hymn, written in 1597 to celebrate their liberation from Spain!

The great thing about being a Canadian with American friends is that I get to mull over the whole thanks giving twice in such a short period of time and before I can catch my breath from that time it's Christmas and I'm feeling utterly blessed in so many ways.
Hi Paper Princess,
This is my first visit to your blog and I must admit, I've never heard this song before; even though its been around for so many years.
These words in the song struck me with thanks,
"Thou, Lord wast at our side;
All glory be Thine!"
Thank you for sharing this beautiful song.
Blessings and peace.

This is a much loved hymn of mine. I did not know it's history. Can you imagine how many people have sung "We Gather Together" over the centuries. And maybe someday we will all sing this beautiful song together at the throne of Grace. What a chorus we will all be! What a wonderful thought!

Happy Thanksgiving, Ramona! Thank you for sharing that pretty song. Have a wonderful day!
I hope that your Thanksgiving was truly special. the song was the perfect choice for this time of year.
I just wanted to let you know that next week will be the last Sunday Song party until January. Like everyone else at this busy and beautiful time of year, I am going to be spending lots of time with the kids (it's our Summer vacation time now) and I am going to have a little bloggy break over Christmas. So please join in next week for one last Sunday Song for the year!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
