What Are Your Biggest Blogging Challenges?

Welcome to this week’s edition of Thursday Two Questions! Last week, I asked you to share your thoughts on Blog Hops, and the response was amazing! Thank you for your feedback – I am carefully weighing your responses and look forward to sharing more in an upcoming post!

This week’s topic is Blogging Challenges. One of the things I love about blogging is that there is always something new to discover! At the same time, the more you learn, the more you find you do not know! One of my goals at Create With Joy is to share information and resources that will help you become a better blogger! Sound good? Help me to help you by answering today’s questions!

Questions:

1. What aspects of blogging do you find most challenging?

2. What specific areas of blogging would you like to learn more about?

I look forward to reading your responses!

    1. Coming up with posts interesting enough to people for them to stop their busy schedules long enough to read and comment on what I have to say. 2. Learn more about how to get my message out there to my niche audience.
Hope to see you leave your comment on my blog, too, Paper Princess.

  5. Colleen (Shibley Smiles) says:

My challenge is pretty common time. Working full time with three kids my head is full of ideas with little time to execute them all.

My challenge is PR and SEO, I want my blog to be more search engine friendly vs direct links in. And PR just eludes me I have NO IDEA why my blog can't rank.

  6. The Frugal Free Gal says:

My challenge is learning to actually "remove" myself from blogging. It is still so much of a hobby for me that I love doing it and enjoy doing it, but have learned recently how to manage my time better when it comes to blogging 🙂 I do try to run my website as professional as I possibly can and over time, everything is getting easier I find. The building process (Months 0-8) are the toughest. After that, for me, it has been wonderful and I love my fans and readers! 🙂 Thanks for visiting today!

  11. Lolo @ Crazy About My Baybah says:

My challenge is time. I would like to make my time online more efficient so I do not feel like all of my down time is spent on the computer. Also, creative posts!

I would like to learn more more about SEO!

  12. shah wharton says:

Time – SEO – maintaining a link with other bloggers, praying for comments, searching for relevant information re mental health, getting people to attend my blog hops….. loads. Oh and stopping. I find my husband has to drag me away form the PC most days. Oh and it gets in the way of my ACTUAL writing. My novel will never find completion if I don't seriously pull back on blogging.. but I find it impossible because if I have a few days off people stop visiting. Its like a never ending chain reaction which I have very little control over – but love!

  13. Self Sagacity says:

    1) the challenge is building a regular / truly interested group of readers.
    2) I would like to learn more about SEO, it's a never ending subject.

  14. April @ The 21st Century Housewife says:

The most challenging thing I find about blogging is that as I have become more successful it has become almost a full time job – which is great, but balancing your time can be a challenge! The think I am working on learning at the moment is learning more about photography so that I can improve my photographs!

Thank you for linking up to Feed Me Tweet Me Follow Me Home last week. The linky is up again today so I do hope you will come by and link up again! Have a great weekend!

  15. Stacy Uncorked says:

I'm with Self Segacity – the challenge is building a regular/interested group of readers. In that vein, being more creative (and interesting) in posts. And time, time is against me sometimes! 🙂

I'd also like to learn more about SEO. 🙂

    Aloha: April Fools!

  17. Maura says:

What are the best ad networks that actually make you decent money?

  18. Deni says:

Beings creative with posts. Sometimes I feel my posts are boring. I don't know what I would want to learn – probably how to spice it up

  19. Fuegita says:

    1. The biggest challenge for me is to think of posts that people will actually want to read and comment on. I think of tons of ideas for posts, but it's mostly while I'm driving, so I can't write them down. And then when I get to a computer I can't remember them.

    2. I would like to know more about getting asked to review things

  20. Charlotte | Life's a Charm! says:

    (1) Time management. I want to blog all the time, and visit other blogs all the time, but I don't have the time for it. So I blog when I can, and keep a short list of blogs to follow.

    (2) I have blogged for a long time now, I think I have already researched and tackled all the blogging areas that I am interested in, so nothing comes to mind right now …

  21. Kat B. says:

  29. tips4green says:

I have been doing this for almost a year and I still cannot figure out how to make money off of this. I spend so much time on my blog and I haven't made much. Seriously, it has been less than $50. Pitiful!
My challenge is now I have changed my life-style a bit and I am not sure how much I want to sway my blogging. I no longer eat processed organic foods, I only eat fresh foods (unprocessed) and I am not sure how I want to reflect that on my blog. Of if I should. I may lose readers because of it, but I may gain some because of it too.

  31. Brynwood Needleworks says:

    Hi Ramona:
My biggest blogging challenge is getting back to each reader who leaves a comment. Do I need to answer every one, every time? Will people be upset if I don't? I invest time into my blog post, thinking that IT is my communication with my readers, and a then accept their comments. Then I read another blogger, chastising fellow bloggers for not responding to the comments that are left. What's the best protocol? I debated putting up a poll about it, but heck, what if everyone always expects a reply and I just don't have the time to respond? (arrrrgghhhh!)

Thanks for asking the questions. I'll be interested to read more from you on the subject.
    xoxo
    Donna

My biggest challenge is keeping up with all my blogging commitments. I keep saying that I'll cut back but I never seem to do.

  34. Heather says:

I feel like my number one challenge is not getting caught up in the number. I want to grow my blog but I don't want to sell myself out to spending (wasting the entire day) too much time doing follow hops and such. I would love to figure out good ways to grow my blog in a meaningful way that will bring readers, not just followers who will never come back.

New follower from Feed me Friday! Would love a follow back!
My challenge is making time to post more frequently without spending ALL my free time on the computer! Is it possible? =)
    Have a great weekend!

  38. Doris Sturm says:

My challenge lately has been visiting all my dear blogging buddies, reading the posts and then commenting on them. I want to be a good blogging buddy, but honestly, I can spend six hours reading and typing and still not be done commenting on everyone's post, especially for people who blog every day, I simply can not keep up – otherwise, I'd be sitting in front of the computer all day and never get anything done. That, to me, reminds me of work and I simply do not want to have to work like that anymore.

The weather has been so nice lately and I don't even turn on the computer every day anymore – but soon summer will come and it'll be too hot for outside and I'll find more time to visit everyone!

  39. Lorie Shewbridge says:

I find that I have trouble with visiting all the blogs that I want to and responding to all the wonderful people that visit my blog in a timely manner. I love the interaction of social networking and I just don't have the time to do as much as I like.
I also find it challenging to write all the posts that I want to because of my disability. I cannot stay on my computer as long as I want to because of the pain that I'm in and I get so frustrated.
Thank you so much for visiting me and I look forward to getting to know you more.

  40. Tami Marie says:

Hmmm…I would say my biggest challenge right now is building traffic and a following. I am at present working on gaining a loyal following rather than a large following. I want people to return regularly. I am expanding my blog and offering more interactive content, doing more Q&A type questions and also I devote a very large portion of my blogging time to returning comments and interacting with other bloggers. It's a lot of work, but it is proving to work out for me.

  41. Mary says:

Thanks for inviting me over. I can honestly say all of it. I am still so confused and trying to make the best of it. I don't know how to find the right combination in it. I feel like I am doing it all wrong. I think I am going to hide myself in books and not come out.

    =) Mary
