The Illustrations Of Shirley Ng-Benitez

Shirley Ng-Benitez

Happy WOYWW and Not-So-Wordless Wednesday, dear friends! Today I have a special treat for you. I want to introduce you to one of my favorite artists, Shirley Ng-Benitez, who I first had the pleasure of meeting during the 2010 One World One Heart tour!

A Special Creation Just For Me

Shirley is an illustrator who is famous for the beautiful watercolor illustrations she creates for children’s books. Visiting her blog and website always brings a smile to my face. Recently, I was fortunate enough to participate in a Pay It Forward she offered on her blog. Each of the pieces featured in today’s article were gifts she sent to me in her PIF!

Her Eyes Were Muddy With Sadness

The first piece illustrates both her business card and the splash page on her website, Shirley Ng-Benitz Illustration, where you can see samples from her portfolio and learn more about her as an artist. The second piece, Ramona Dreams, is a custom piece she created for me after I shared the things I love about her work! The third piece, Her Eyes Were Muddy With Sadness, is particularly meaningful to me and is my favorite illustration of Shirley’s. I am transported back to a different place and time whenever I look at this piece of art!

I hope you feel as blessed as I do this week as you journey from desk to desk and photo to photo this week. Have a fabulous WOYWW and Wordless (or Not-So-Wordless) Wednesday!

Stopping by from the Alexa hop. Those are really lovely! I do not have an artistic bone in my body and I've always wished I could paint. It seems like it would be very relaxing!
