Amber Ink Project 2: Bananas For You

Amber Ink Clean & Simple Card - Bananas For YouAmber Ink Project 2:  Clean & Simple (CAS) Card

Happy WOYWW, dear friends! It’s Week 2 of my adventure as an Amber Ink Designer and I have a secret to share. I’m really having a blast playing with all of my new digital stamps! It’s so nice to be able to do little things like resize your favorite images, and line things up in a straight line, and create pretty borders at the drop of a mouse! If you have not yet jumped on the digi bandwagon, I encourage you to give it a try. You might find yourself pleasantly surprised by how much you love it!

This week, I created a Clean & Simple Card for the Feeling Fruity Challenge at the Less Is More Challenge Blog! I began by jaunting over to Amber Ink and downloading Little Things: Cutie Pie – a fabulous collection of 30 stamps that includes 22 delectable images and 8 delightful sayings! This set has something for everyone, from the butcher, to the baker, to the candle stick maker! Just imagine all of the things you can do with a set like this!

CAS Ingredients A Few Ingredients Go A Long Way

Next, I sketched my design and began putting those new-found digi skills to use!

CAS cards emphasize clean lines, minimal elements, lots of white space, and few or no embellishments. It’s the perfect style for card makers who want to focus on design and color, or who want to emphasize their message. It’s also great for gals who are minimalists at heart, gals who are crafting on a budget, and gals who are trying to clean up their messy WOYWW spaces (ahem!) As you can see, it only takes a few ingredients to whip up a wonderful CAS card!

Now, I’d like to extend a very special thanks to Karen at Goodbye City, Hello Suburbs for featuring my very first Amber Ink Project, the Feel Like Miss America Card, on today’s Workshop Wednesday Party! If you haven’t met Karen, be sure to pay her a visit. She really knows how to make a gal feel like a beauty queen!
