Psalm 90:12
Teach us to number our days aright
That we may gain a heart of wisdom.
As I sojourn into 2012, I am acutely aware of time. I am acutely aware of the limited number of hours in each day. I am acutely aware of how often I whittle away the hours I’m given with life’s frivolities. I am acutely aware of how few hours I spend with true intentionality.
I am aware that being fully alive means awakening to the reality that my days are numbered. I am aware that I have neither an over-abundance nor an endless supply of time. I am aware that I have been given just enough time to do the things I need to do, provided I use my time wisely.
I am slowly awaking from a slumbering past.
Each day, I become a little more conscious than I was the day before.
I am learning how to take deep breaths.
I am rediscovering my voice.
I am awakening.

Great meeting you my friend,
Joan
Why is it we get so encumbered with life that our emotions, mind and body seem to sleep? My desire is to awake…and become more aware of the “good things.” What a great write for 5 minutes!

We all need to wake up and realize it’s later than we think. I’m totally amazed at how fast a week, a month, a year goes flying by. And the older I get the faster it goes. Thank you for sharing this needed post.
Blessings,
Charlotte
