WOYWW – Cookbooks and An ATC

Assorted Cookbooks 1

Happy WOYWW to you all! After a rather temperate June, the heat wave that blasted so much of the nation has finally found its way to my neck of the woods and I am now sweltering in the triple digit heat – and just in time for a month of packing!

Last week, I packed my scrapbooks; this week, I turned my attention to another beloved collection – my cookbooks! I spent an evening filling Legend and Tsunami’s table with book upon book, while Prince Charming packed and box after box! I thought I’d take a few photos in the midst of packing since it will be awhile before I see them all nicely shelved again.

In the midst of my toil, I received my second ATC from the land down under – an adorable little owl from Sandy at Lonely Cards! Isn’t she just precious? I loved the pretty stationery she sent, so I photographed that as well!

Lovely ATC. I love cook books – so colourful and exciting. I always have just a few favourite recipes from each book, so certain pages are splodged with fingermarks etc the rest are pristine! x Jo

What a gorgeous ATC. I’ve got cookbooks that I’ve had for years and sometimes refer to them, but often just do my own thing. I used to buy a lot, but stopped doing so some years ago when I realised I didn’t really use what I’d got. Hope you have a good week – Hazel, WOYWW #124 x

  10. Good luck with all that packing. I always thought moving in July would suck. Moving in January is bad too for the opposite reason. Great ATC, love the little bow in the owl’s head.

hope you get them unpacked soon

Moving is a chore, but it will let you see all of the things that you forgot you had. And then you will have a brand new space to make home. Enjoy. #29

Glad you liked my ATC, she looks like she found a good home at your place. The BBQ cookbook would be the one that I would peek at. I found the most delicious quick marinaded spicy chicken. We cooked it nearly every week last spring and summer just yummy. Happy WOYWW Sandy 🙂 #39

I would love to take a peek at your M.S. Cupcake book. I’m not much of a baker but I’m way better at baking than I am at cooking, plus I like dessert so much more! I’m sure there’s some adorable recipes in there.

I have both the Martha Stewart Cookies and Cupcakes cookbooks and BOTH are fabulous! Her ideas and recipes are amazing! Every recipe of hers I’ve ever made has been a winner – I highly recommend them both! 🙂

  18. Eliza says:

When I moved into this house I am in now, I swore I would never pack a box again and move. I remember I moved 3 times in 1 year. No thanks you can have that all to yourself. Prince Charming should be happy testing out each box to make sure it is up to par. LOL

    Thanks for sharing
