Hope your move is a painless as possible. Not my favorite either! We have lived in our current location 10yrs, but want to move back closer to family. I have moved at least 6x.
Good luck! My link isn’t showing up? Hope it does later. Thanks for hosting!

      Hi Theresa

I see your link! 🙂 Thank you for your good wishes! I have been SO stressed out during the process – I am SO grateful that we have found a place to live and that now, all we have to do is actually MOVE! 🙂

  2. Diane says:

Happy Friday! I have moved 8 times. I have lived in my house for 13 years. Moving is such hard work. I don’t envy you. Good luck with your move. It will be a great adventure for your family. Thanks for hosting.

Thank you Diane! I have been in prayer throughout this process that God would lead us to the right place and I believe that He did! We met the current owners yesterday and they seen very nice – I am now just praying that everything goes smoothly with our move over the next few weeks! 🙂

  3. Our present home is a gift from God — a truly unexpected blessing we have enjoyed for about 3 years now. God is so good! Thanks for the great post & linkup, & God bless,
    Laurie

I just moved to a new place a week ago.
I’ve moved in total of 7 times in the past 5 years.

Oh and I’m following you on your blog (g reader), pinterest and twitter. You can find all of my stuff through my blog 🙂

  5. I’ve lived in my home for 50 years (born there) – but my sister and her husband move every year or so for his job. She gets a mover every time – they come in, pack everything up, put it in a truck and off she goes. Good luck with your move.

  6. Lisa says:

Wishing you much luck in your move! I will keep you in my prayers. As a kid, I moved only twice and it was basically in the same neighborhood. As an adult, we have owned the same home since we got married 16 years ago (that was quite a move, though. I didn’t know I had accumulated that much stuff as a single girl living at home! lol), but the kids and I moved in with my parents when my husband deployed to Iraq. We are trying to get renovations done so we can move back in and without hurting anyone’s feelings. (we’ve been here for awhile now and my parents are kind of used to having the kids around). We would like to, someday, though, buy a house in the “country” with some actual ground for our kids to run around on. Probably just a pipe dream, but we can pray and hope, right? 🙂

Good luck with your move! I never moved as a child, but I’ve moved 10 times as an adult. Fortunately, we love our home now and have lived here 14 years. 🙂

  8. Joyce says:

I lived in Chicago all my life, than the Lord decided it was time for me to move. So, off to West Tennessee I want in 2005 for 5 years. Then my husband who is a truck driver called me one morning saying that he could breath in Louisiana, so in 2010 we moved again.

The only local move I ever made was to move in with my first husband, who went to be with the Lord in Feb 2004. Let me just say that moving locally is a lot easier than moving to another state.

May the Lord bless your new home, and your move be a positive experience.

  9. Congrads on the new place. I’ve stayed in the current place for the past 9 yrs and we won’t be moving at in the next couple of years. It wasn’t that difficult for us last time as this is our first home and we bought everything new.

Thanks Dominique – we’ve been in our current place for 10 years so uprooting is a challenge – but now that we have found a place, we are looking forward to completing the move and getting settled in the new place over the next few weeks!

  10. I ‘ve lived in this home for 5 years in November. And I’ve only moved 4 times in my 27 years. I don’t like moving either. Two of those times I was an infant.

  11. Nadine says:

I’ve lived in my current home 19 years and love it. But I think I moved at least 30 times in the years before. I hope your move goes smoothly and you find the new place to your liking. Thanks for your blog. Grace to you.

Wow – 30 times – I hope you get to stay in your current home for many years more! Thanks for your sweet thoughts – we are looking forward to life in the new place! 🙂

  12. Pattie says:

I’m now in my 18th home since I was a kid. I was in my last home for ten years while raising my two daughters. Once they were both of to college I downsized to a little two bedroom. I’m very happy in my new little house. My next project is clearing out the garage so I have a ‘studio.’ I do my artwork at the kitchen table, which is fine. My art supplies are overtaking my girls’ bedroom, though! Although moving is a lot of work, I love the idea of a fresh start and an opportunity to ‘purge’ the items no longer needed or wanted. I wish you the best in your move.

Thanks Pattie for your encouraging thoughts – I love the idea of a fresh start too but must confess that I vascillate between purging and wanting to cling to every last thing! I love the idea of simplicity and simplifying, just need work on the execution! Your garage studio sounds awesome and I wish you all the best in setting things up – would LOVE to see the photos on Inspire Me Monday when you are done! 🙂

Stopping by for Friday Friendship. I’ve lived in this home near Nashville TN for 12 years, would never had believed when I bought the place that I would still be living here. As a child I lived in the same house and my parents, 79 and 84, still live in this big home they raised 6 kids in. As a young adult I moved a lot…let’s see….about 10 times

It’s been really fascinating reading everyone’s stories… I always thought I would be settled in one place as I am not the moving around type, but sometimes life has other plans for you! Thanks for sharing – hope you have a fabulous week! 🙂

  14. Kim says:

I have been in my current home (lovin condo living) for 4 years.

How many times have I moved? OH NO that is tought to say…. but my best guess is that I have lived in 14 different places. WOW
