What’s Inspiring You This Week?
Here’s What’s Inspiring Me…

Holy Bible

Encouragement From God’s Word

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true,
Whatever things are noble, whatever things are just,
Whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,
Whatever things are of good report,
If there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy –
Think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

I don’t have to tell you that it’s been a rough week for our nation.
A season of joy has been marred by grief.
At times like these,
Inspiration from God’s Word take on special significance.

LCC Comfort Dogs

One bright spot that I have focused on this past week is the
Story of the Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) Canine Comfort Dogs.

By providing warmth, companionship, and unconditional love,
The LCC Comfort Dogs have helped the town of Newton
Begin the process of healing in the face of unfathomable loss.

Since the dogs’ arrival,
Traumatized children have begun to
Talk, smile, and tell their stories to these
Beautiful and therapeutic comforters.

Martina McBride – O Holy Night (Acapella)

I love Christmas music.
Every year I find new meaning in old songs!
My favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night.
Every year I look for new versions to fall in love with.
This year, I’d like to share this beautiful acapella version with you.

Book Of The Week
In The Land Of Blue Burqas

In The Land Of Blue Burqas

What’s it like for an American woman
To live in Afghanistan for five years?
The answers will at times anger you –
At times shock you – but ultimately transform you.
This is easily one of the best books I have read all year!
I encourage you to add it to your New Year’s reading list!

Merry Christmas to you, dear friends.
May your week be filled with inspiration and joy!
