I don’t know that it was love at first sight, although my husband and I had an intuitive connection instantly. It was definitely destiny. We’ve been married almost 38 years now, and I’d marry him again in an instant. Happy Valentine’s Day! 🙂 Deb @ RaisingFigureSkaters.com

  10. My husband and I are celebrating our third wedding anniversary today (Valentine’s Day). I was a widow 3 1/2 years before we met. I never imagined God would bring another godly man into my life to fall in love with and marry. I am grateful for every day I have with him, and so thankful for God’s grace that brought me through my journey of grief. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.” (Joel 2:25). God is faithful.

Thanks for hosting Create With Joy! I am happy to be linking up for the first time. I think in many instances love at first sight works out well. A good example were my parents!:) I am still single. I wonder if I will take that walk up the aisle some day. I hope it is not with a walking stick. LOL Happy Valentine’s Day.

Judy, you are so funny – of course you will (and I have yet to see a bride walk down the aisle with a walking stick!)

  14. I’m not sure if I believe in love at first sight….but I think it can happen fast. I remember having dated my husband a few times and telling my BFF that though I liked my boyfriend and his friendship I have a feeling that we are going to get married. And a little over 3 years later…we did!

  21. I do believe in love at first sight – probably because I’m a big romantic at heart. 🙂 Unfortunately the hubby is not a romantic person, so I miss out on a lot of romance I sure would like to have – I’ve been ‘training’ him and he’s done pretty good, but apparently forgot his training yesterday…oops! Back to training for him! >;o)~

Well my husband fell in love at first sight. And I forgot about him until the second sight a year later, but I fell in love that time. Absolutely more connected today than I was eight years ago.

  34. Lisa says:

Thanks so much for hosting! I do believe in love at first sight. I met my husband when I was 17 and knew then that he was the one for me. And, even though we didn’t see each other again for 10 years, it was instant and like we were never apart. As for the most romantic thing, it would have to be when I found him after 10 years and we spoke on the phone. He told me that he wasn’t letting me get away this time and that he wanted to make me his wife. Pretty amazing and romantic I thought. 🙂 We will be married 17 years in August.

I think this is my first Friendship Friday (I usually do Wordless Wed). I don’t believe in actual love at first sight. However, I do believe in a certain connection at first sight …a spark, or an attraction, or a warm fuzzy feeling, that you can have upon meeting that special person. I believe in time this initial kindred feeling deepens in to actual love. The most romantic thing I have ever done for someone..that’s a toughie because I am pretty romantic! One thing I recall is a Valentine’s Day where I made a Huge card (like a couple feet big) out of poster board and wrote 101 things I loved about my Valentine.
The most romantic thing done for me is sort of a tie between a couple of different people I have dated..so I will go with the most romantic thing my fiance has done. On our second date he took me to a musical color changing waterfall show . When we walked up to the top of the falls he gave me a pretty gold bracelet he bought me. I was so surprised!

Hope you had a good Valentine’s!
