  • When is the last time you did something new?
  • Is there something new you’d like to do this season?

Share your plans and ideas with us this Friendship Friday!

Beautiful blog you have here! I recently broke down and got my own self-hosted blog, so that’s my ‘try something new.’ With it, I decided to start writing about some new topics as well. 😉

Thanks for sending the email and for doing this. I enjoy your blog and your help to those of us starting to get known. I’ve been wanting to host a Murder Mystery party for some years. I have a friend who might be willing to do it with me, so I just need to talk to her about it and then research it. It would be fun if we could attend one first, but maybe we can figure it out on our own. I love hospitality and often have a theme or question(s) or game to keep the conversation above what it so often melts down to (sports, weather, politics). There is so much more to talk about that is worth while! Thank you again for hosting.

I’m so glad you enjoy Friendship Friday, Sharon. I love helping others to connect (and I enjoy meeting new bloggers each week!)

I always wanted to host one of these parties too and now that I attended I know everyone would love it!

I know you can buy game kits that tell you everything you need.

In the event we attended, we were at a restaurant in a banquet room where guests like us made reservations for dinner…
but unbeknonwst to us, there were a few actors in the crowd posing as dinner guests and it was our job to figure out who committed the crime
(which occurs while we are there!)

There were clues along the way and a detective to help keep us on track but you really had to watch and figure it out!

Because of the size of the party, there was a prize given to the winners table (which I was at – YEAH!) and a booby prize given to the table that came up with the most outlandish story (if you were completely clueless!)

It was fun and I hope i have the opportunity to do it again!

  21. My life has always been full of new experiences. I believe in trying things at least once. The most recent thing I have tried creating my own pendant from a raw obsidian rock. it turned out but took forever so I am sure this will be one of those things I will only try once.

I want to try blowing glass this season

I am trying something new, a Green house, we just installed, I am so excited to get it growing now, it is hard to grow vegetables in the desert with the heat and so many creatures that like to eat on them including the little quail like to kick up the dirt, so this will help us to grow lettuce, greens, tomatoes and lots of other good stuff for salads. I will be writing and telling about it weekly.

Thanks for hosting the Friday Friendship and I have posted your banner with my Lets Get Social post. Let’s Get Social

The new thing I’m doing is reading “The Bible in 90 Days” by Zondervon. I’m always reading the Bible, but I’ve never read it through this quickly just to get the story feel of it. Because we had several parents ill (we cared for all four at one time, hubby and mine), I recently quit writing my weekly newspaper column and posting them at my blog, however there are many archives on almost every conceivable topic at http://stainedglasspickup.blogspot.com/ And my book links are there as well. Thank you for hosting this event focused on new experiences. Blessings.

How awesome, Cathy, that you are going through the Bible in 90 days!
I would have trouble doing that – I always end up getting distracted and delving into the individual verses!

It sounds like you are going through many life changes right now.
I pray the peace of God surrounds you during this time!

      Have a wonderful weekend!

    Hi Joy,

Thank you for hosting the Friendship Friday!
I’m greatly inspired by your Book Reviews – I have joined Google Readers and will try to find you there. I’m also trying to get affiliated with Amazon and maybe some Christian Publishers, in order to read and write book reviews.
I like to read, so I might as well review the books I read 🙂 You had a link to a book related Blog-event, but that weekend I was busy and could’t join … but next time I hope I could do some of the challenges.

Nina – you have a BEAUTIFUL blog!

Thanks so much for your kind words! I LOVE to read and started reviewing books on my blog simply because I wanted to read more and writing reviews was a way to hold myself accountable and track my progress towards my goals. I had no idea at the onset that returning to my love of reading would ultimately transform me into a “book reviewer”!

There is a lot to be said for pursuing one’s passions! 🙂

If I can help in any way, just drop me a line! Also, I regularly share book/blog/reading events/challenges on my blog, so stay tuned – there are plenty just around the corner!

The Murder Mystery sounds like fun! We did one last year with some friends from church. Two weeks ago, a group of us went to see Tim Hawkins. It was a lot of fun. I don’t know how “new” that is, but we had never seen him in person before, so I guess it counts, lol. 🙂 I also recently signed up the kids for a few opportunities locally for homeschoolers that we haven’t participated in before– one is to a medieval glassblowing demonstration which sounds pretty neat. Gotta try to be creative especially when we all are getting spring fever. 🙂
