This Week’s Theme Is Music

Last week, we shared the things we are most looking forward to this summer. One of the things I am most looking forward to is attending a series of summertime concerts in the park. So, with that in mind, I thought it would be fun to chat about Music this week!

  • Who are your favorite musical artists?
  • Do you have a favorite song or album of all time?
  • Are you attending any concerts this summer?
  • Which musical competitions do you watch on TV?

Let’s celebrate Music at this week’s Friendship Friday!

Have Fun!

Have fun connecting with one another – building friendships is what this community is all about!

For more opportunities to create and connect, join us for Inspire Me Monday and Wordless Wednesday!

Let’s see, my favorite music is Instrumental, classical and jazz. I love Helen Jane Long and Basia. Oh, Mick Hucknall and SImply Red! Hmmm…I like variety though and most genres (except not normally rap and pop). I also love listening to traditional japanese and other instrumental world music. I do not watch music competitions, but my hub and daughter sing in the shower! Happy Almost Friday!

      Simply Red – very soulful!

Hmm… singing in the shower – I should have asked how many of you have done karaoke! 🙂

Have a happy, happy day, dear Dawn! 🙂

  3. Music can calm the savage beast they say. My savage beast today is my husband who is starting his new continued Fiction Story on his blog. It would be music to him to see readers enter the follow by e-mail box so they don’t miss any of the exciting chapters coming up. Here is his site. http://musingsbyrobert.blogspot.com/
As his secretary – – I entered his first chapter on your lovely site. He is number 14.

      Hi Hazel,

Thanks for faithfully sharing your husband’s stories with us! I hope to catch up with you and your blog soon!
This has not been a good health week for me so I am a tad behind (yes, I have a flair for understatement at times!)
In any event, I hope you have an awesome week! 🙂

P.S. Speaking of stories… did you catch the story of how Legend got his name at Wordless Wednesday?

I’m not much of a music buff. In fact, I only think about it when my husband is around. It’s neat to see how much my son has learned it from his Father. I can’t carry a tune for all the tea in China.

As always, thanks for your support and linking up to my weekly BlogLovin Hop (http://www.journeysofthezoo.com/search/label/BlogLovin%20Hop).

My tastes in music are eclectic indeed, so I don’t have a “favorite:” style. I do enjoy concerts and will be attending as many as I can this summer.

    Great topic!

  10. Thanks for the heads up about Legend. Also hope you and your family feel better real soon!

Thanks so much for the hop. My favorite music is old country gospel but these days I mostly listen to Jake & The Neverland Pirates or the Mickey Mouse theme song, lol.

I love County music and old 50’s Rock and Roll! My husband and I have dozens of CD’s and we play them constantly in the car, house, and motorhome. Life is boring without music!! We have an amphitheater in Vancouver, WA where I live and I have tickets for Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and ZZ-Top.

Thanks again fot hosting this wonderful linky and have a wonderful weekend.

  15. Lisa says:

Thanks for hosting! 🙂 Let’s see– music. Hmmm… My inner adult says my favorite is Christian Music and Country Music. My inner child says that there is still a part of me that likes my old 80s music, lol! 🙂 I also enjoy classical since I used to play the piano with Mozart being my favorite composer. I really like all kinds of music except rap or really hard, heavy metal.

    Hi there! ^.^

My tastes in music run all over the place. I love 80s, 90s, music from today, etc. So I can’t really pick a fave artist! I listen to music all day long – I used to listen while sleeping but no longer. I’d have to say that my favorite song of all time would be “Amazed” by Lonestar. I am not attending concerts this summer but I AM going to see Hanson on Oct 19th. Loved them since I was a kid and they are all grown up now w/ awesome music, I can’t wait!!! The only musical competition I watch on TV is The Voice and even that is starting to not interest me. 🙂

I posted about my stories and how I might publish two this year! I’m still waiting to hear about a book I submitted, but I’ve one I plan to self-publish no matter what! ^.^

    Have a great weekend! 🙂

I used to listen to music while sleeping too! For a season I used to play lullabies and other soothing music to help me sleep.
I also have diverse musical tastes. Amazed is a great song!

So excited to hear your book news. Looking forward to continued updates! 🙂

I love going to concerts in the summer and listening to the radio in the car nice and loud with all the windows rolled down 🙂

    Thanks for hosting!
